Oh, those poor, poor third world countries. They want us to make sure they can get cheap computers. What does that have to do with domain registry?

After reading that article, it struck me...

Computers and the internet are a prime example of our collective "greatness" as an American society.

Here "we", (Americans), The greatest society on the planet, develop a new product, introduce it to the masses, make a fortune doing it in the process...And then slip in to the "appologizing" mode because the rest of the world can't keep up.

So here we are,,,debating over who should have "control" over a largely American made product.

The whole concept of a free market society is; create a product...if it's usefull, folks will buy it...If problems arrise in it's use, in this case spam, unwanted porn, etc. the market will adjust and correct the problem on it's own.

I bet that we will eventually "appologize" our way out of the internet business.
