Hi AJ52,
Thanks for the moral support! It does get interesting at times.....but we are "kind of" use to some of it. My wife and I cared for our son, David, until his death about 18 months ago. He had Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy and a body that continued to get weaker, though his mind was as sharp as a tack! (He died as a consequence of bad results of a surgery.....not a direct result of the disease.) Plus my wife helped care for a severely diabetic mother until her death just this past December. So I guess if there is such a thing as "being prepared" for a task......we are getting better at it! (If such a thing is possible?!?) And even though there is
nothing funny about Alzheimer's.......there are sometimes humorous moments. (A way of helping one to maintain some sanity!

Hi logs,
Thanks for the info on the book. I did briefly check out a site that provided the first chapter of the book. It will definitely get added to my list of must read! (I'm currently finishing "Deliver Us from Evil", by Sean Hannity.) Plus trying to keep up with a fraction of what is available on the web. On top of trying to continue some other reading as well. Hobbies......(mostly outdoors, firearms, traveling, etc), the Western Canon.....(if I'm lucky to live long enough I may yet finish them)......and continue to work on expanding my historical and scientific readings!
One of my great joys in life is reading. Hopefully life will be kind to me and allow me to maintain enough vision to continue reading as long as I'm alive! I have been making a concerted effort of late to make up for some of the lost years when I did very little reading. It's kind of like a joy rediscovered!
When I read the article from my original post I realized it would provide a very brief synopsis for those that had not availed themselves of this information previously. Hopefully it helped fill in a few blanks for some of them.
Thanks again for the title of the book!
Dave
