If the state was doing it then it was to balance moose, caribou etc. Any of those you are talking to been to Alaska? Been there 24 times and going back in june. You couldnt kill the wolves off if you had to. Way too much habitat and nothing but a relatively few small towns. I consider Anchorage a big town but rest are pretty condensed. I am for letting Alaskans manage Alaska and the tree huggers need to back off or go up there and start shootin' their mouths off to the locals. Let me know when they are going so I can plan my trip. Good fun watchin that.

I haven't been to Alaska but I agree with gleninAZ. The state DFG should be allowed to do what they do best--manage game. This is to control the population, not make them extinct.

Please support the fine people of Alaska as they help thin the wolf population. The Native eskimos have asked the state of Alaska for there help. The natives are saying there are too many wolves & too few Moose & Caribou. The state of Alaska agrees with the eskimos. I have read about this very subject in depth. The people of Alaska need to shoot some wolves (I think 600-wolves in 3-years?) to bring the balance back.
