I have this terrible feeling in my gut... that someday this whole thing in the mid-east may boil down to US & Israel vs Islam war. Almost like an end times thing. I know its not PC to even suggest the possibility but.... Does anyone else sense this, or think this is remotely possible?

hasnt this happend before ? Except it wasn't the US & Isreal ....it was Christianity vs Islam and it was called the crusades. What was that saying , "History repeats itself " ?

COD, it might seem that way now but as this grows worst around the world and it will, others will realize that they have been making the wrong choices.
The same pattern, including the good old USA occurred in the past. The difference is that we learned from our mistakes and have become stronger. Others, not having to step up as leaders, have not learned and are still looking for an easy less painful way out.
This entire situation for the USA and the world is going to get worst before it gets better.
Unfortunately that is what it is going to take to wake some countries up. I just hope that the enemy will not have gained so much momentum that they can not be stopped.

There is nothing anti-semite about it except that the middle eastern (Arab extraction) Muslims for the most part are Semite. There are places in the world that are waking up to the fact that Islamic terrorism doesn't really care where you are from but for the time being the U.S. and Israel are convenient and high profile targets. The Philipines and Malaysia have been taking hits for a long time too and now in Spain. France and Germany are beginning to realize that the huge influx of Muslims to their cities are not necessarily a good thing either. Even Norway has a problem. There are an estimated 1 billion Muslims in the world, about the same for the various christians sects. How long before the remaining 4 billion people of other religious beliefs say to hell with this and come in on one side or the other.
The Israelis need to wake up and realize that they live in the middle of 50,000,000 people who hate their guts and are just looking for a reason to turn them into a grease spot . The nation of Israel didn't even exist until 1947 after the victorious Allies were divvying up at the end of WWII .
I can see it now:
An aide slips in to the meeting at Yalta and whispers in FDR's ear . FDR recoils slightly and says , "No sheit ? Six million ? Well , what do the survivors want ? Palestine ? But isn't somebody already living there ? Aw , screw it ! Give them what they want and maybe they won't embarass the rest of us , we weren't suppose to know anything about it . What about the Palestinians ? What about them ? They can't even read or write , who cares what they think ?"
Obviously they do ...
These are the same "illiterates" who killed 11 Israeli Olympic athletes at Munich in '72 . They've commited numerous acts of terrorism over the last 50 years because they want their home back . Arafat himself was formerly(yeah , right ...) a terrorist leader of them . Can you really blame them ?
Imagine that the big kid across the street has taken over your clubhouse , kicked you out , and put the ugliest kid on the block in your place . How pissed would you be ? The Israelis have been the slaves of every culture on Earth for the last 12,000 years , so how can they claim Palestine as their "ancestral homeland" ? You have to have one in the first place to claim it , and rented property just don't count . Even if the Israelis and Palestinians could agree to share the land they would sooner or later try to bite each other and the whole Middle East will explode when that happens .

Sure it could happen, maybe someday soon who knows.
Meanwhile it is still US,the Jews vers, every muslim state& terriost who wants them BOTH , destroyed.
A bit off the subject but something it seems need be said, there has never been nor is there a country called "Palestine".
That land that is Isreal has always been the home of the Jews and they have every right to be there now. It has always been their land displaced or not, they are there now to stay or are willing to die trying.
The word Palestine come from the Philistines (sp) who invaded that area in the BC's (I believe) and they are not Arabs, but Greeks more or less. At least that is their area of origin.
The general area along the coast has been referred to as palistine for hundreds of years and more so since the end of WWI when the Ottoman Empire was disolved but the British. Im a little shaky on the details but that is the jest of it.
There is now nor has there ever been a country or nation of Palistine.
