Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default " THE POWER OF ONE"

I was approached at work two weeks ago by a fellow co-worker, he asked me if I would be willing to help his daughter who was in 7th grade find some information for a school assignment. I asked him what it was that they needed me to do? He said that he knew that I was involved in the shooting sports and that I was an NRA member and was active in hunting. Most people at work know I'm VERY pro-gun and anti liberal. Anyway!
He said that his daughter was teamed up with another kid in her class to represent the pro-gun argument and that she and her partner had a few weeks to prepare for a debate with another 2 person team representing the anti-gun argument. He asked if I knew a place to get books and information that would help them prepare for their debate.

" I know just the place" , I told him. I'll bring you some books for her tommorrow! I brought in John Lott's book More Guns, Less Crime also The Seven Myths of Gun Control and The Firearms Facts 3.0 that I downloaded 2 or 3 years ago on the internet. He only took home the Firearms Facts Book.

His daughter immediately started reading from it and taking down notes on index cards for her debate. Then the other day my co-worker came up to me at work and said he had something funny to tell me. He said he was in the basement over the weekend doing some clean up work and he had a 5 gallon bucket he was using and his daughter came down and started laughing uncontrollably. He stopped what he was doing to ask her what she was laughing at?she pointed at the side of the bucket that had a picture of a child falling into a half full bucket with a warning about how a child could fall in head first and drown. She said she found it funny because she had just learned that more kids drown every year than are killed by guns.

To make my a long story short >>>> The two kids who I loaned my Firearms Facts book to for their debate got an A+ and the other team got a C.

THATS "THE POWER OF ONE"

Not only did she get a great grade , but she had other members of her family reading the book and getting excited about her debate. Her father owns a deer rifle that he never used yet and her mother who also works at my shop( boss's daughter) learned about how anti- gunners spin the facts and they were telling me things (that I already knew of course) they couldn't beleive the media says about guns. NOW THEY TOO ARE THINKING ABOUT IT

Bravo! I thank you for doing your part in supporting our cause and educating Americans. That's really great to hear that they did well in the debate. I hope more children are given the facts before liberals can attempt to impose their anti-gun indoctrination.

i live in a very gun oriented comunity so the anti gun thing holds very little water here

but i take several kids to the shooting range every summer and teach them basic gun safety/ how to shoot / where and why to aim a gun/ basic pistol control(kids love pistols)i also answer as many questions as possible when it comes to guns most kids are just facinated with them

i meat a few hesitant parents but most would rather have there kids know how and where to use a gun then playing with one they find in the basement of a friends house

ps job well done fight4yourguns. if there were more activist there would be less gun control

That's awesome. Great job by all of you!!!!!!!

In addition to the parents / family learning some facts just think about all of the other kids in her class that got to hear the real story and can decide for themselves now instead of only hearing about "bad guns" on the nightly news and letting that be their guide.

Bravo man!

I wasn't try to take credit for anything guys, I was just happy that someone asked for my help and was able to give it. Another point is that the debates were heard by the teacher other students and so on. And now all of those people will be able to distinguish between the media spin and actual facts and point them out to others. Like a domino effect.
