Default Celebrity loopholes (Martha Stewart)

Martha's lookin at jail-time.

Its plain as day that she's guilty, but should she recieve an alternative penalty for her actions other than jail-time?
I think so.
Typically, I dont think celebrities should recieve any special treatment for being a celebrity, but Martha Stewart? Can you imagine her in jail? The women there would tear her a new one, ridicule, and harass her. People love to hate Martha Stewart, and its unfortunate. She's guilty, I'm not trying to say she isn't. But in this case, there has to be an alternative to her going to jail. I think by putting her in jail, they're putting her life at risk.

Just my opinion. What do you guys think?

Too damn bad for her. She did it and she is guilty. She should have thought about the consequences before she commited the crime.

It' no one's fault but her own that she is in the position for her life to be in danger in jail in the first place.

If her life gets taken while in jail then again it is no ones fault but her own cause she put herself in the position for it to be taken.

Martha Stewart is overall a pretty bright woman. It isn't going to do her any good to be in jail. While a big part of me wants to see her treated just like anyone else, I think it might be wise if the government put some of her wealth and knowledge to good use. I am not entirely sure what they could do with her, but I am sure that she could make a lot of people happy if made some appearances at hospice centers or did meals on wheels or something similar. She should also be made to pay a rather large fine, seeing as how she can afford it.

Thats a surefire case of L.M.S.

At any rate, she shouldn't be imprisoned. Take her money, make her do meals on wheels, force her to do 5,000 hours of community service.... There are other options, but i'm positive that her life/health/overall well-being are in jeopardy if they throw her in a pen with a bunch of criminal women.

Just my opinion.

So because Martha is among the elite she should be treated differently? Hogwash! She is just another human being, I could care less for her wealth and celebrity status. Treat everyone the same, quit the coddling.

On Fox news yesterday, it was said she should not go to jail because it might hurt investors who have her stock, too friggen bad!

She is a criminal woman according to a jury of her peers .
If I bought and sold stock and made a bad call because of inside info they would not care in the least how badly I got treated in prison , and prison is where they would send me . Call it L.M.S. if you like , that's what happens to regular people every day . There's no reason for her to be exempt simply because she happens to be in the public eye , just ask Robert Downey , Jr. or Leona Helmsley . She took a risk and lost , why shouldn't she pay for her crimes like everyone else ?

Besides , stripes are soooo slimming ...

Cougar Mag, I agree with you completely. How many people lost thousands because her and others like her get insider information the rest of us don't have. To me, she should be in isolation with no windows.

She absolutely should not be treated differently because of who she is or how wealthy she is or how bright she is. Not at all. That is wrong. But she shouldn't go to jail simply because the "crime" (I use that term loosely in this case) doesn't constitute jail time.

BigBulls, what would you have done if you had been in her shoes?

Kevin, why do you always type in bold?
