Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default My daughter went to Washington...

My 18-yr-old daughter, Tina, got to go to Washington DC for 9 days with the Close-Up group from her school. In addition to seeing just about everything there is to see, she also got to sit in on an entire Supreme Court session. She had a great time and learned alot about our government. Here she is with Oregon's Republican Senator, Gordon Smith....

Everyone owes it to themselves to spend a few days in DC at least once in their lives.

This is/was something that, even if she does not realize it now,,,will be something that she will remember for the rest of her life.

You're a good "Mom".

Man, just be glad she had her picture taken with a Republican senator. Otherwise you might've had to disown her!

LOL! Actually, I also have a picture of her with Dem. Rep. Peter DeFazio, but she asked me not to post that one. She assures me she spit in her hand before she shook his.

Tell Tina, Thank You, for the spitting on that democrat. Gives me hope for the future.

I was glad to hear that your daughter went to Washington and that she had a great time. There is so much to see and learn about our country and that excitement prevails at our Nations Capitol..Maybe I read too much into this post and I could care less what political party a person was a member of that she was fortunate to meet. If I had started this post I would have become disappointed in some replys. I thought this post was meant to inform us what a great time a young lady had, not to bash certain members of a political party. Guess I was wrong!
