Check this bad boy out:

Some of it's features:
Quote:
Â*Â*Â*A video at the display shows the huge black 4-door vehicle eluding terrorists, defending its occupants and delivering sensitive documents safely.
Â*Â*Â*As it escapes a besieged embassy, the SmarTruck uses pepper spray and electric door handles to repel attackers. It litters the road with huge tacks and oil slicks. It has night vision and run-silent capabilities, plus an onboard laser and grenade launcher

From another site talking about the same type of truck in a modified Chevy:
Quote:
The SmarTruck II was engineered by the US Army's Tank, Automotive, and Armaments CommandÃ*s National Automotive Center (NAC) from a modified Chevrolet Silverado. The 6-wheeled (3-axle) truck can be fitted with a guided missile launcher, (3 km range), and a launcher for a remote-controlled Unmanned Air Vehicle. The stated mission of the vehicle is anti-terrorism and it will probably be used by the United States Department of Homeland Security. NAC executive director Dennis Wend says that he was inspired by a James Bond film in producing the SmarTrucks.
Additional Features
The SmarTruck II has a night vision system, a (50x zoom) video system with thermal imaging and surveillance radar, cameras covering 360° (including one under the vehicle), and a 12,000-pound, straight-line hydraulic towing winch. The grille is covered by a metal bullet-resistant brushguard.

Homeland Security. For some of us, the government has led us to believe that his will aid in fighting terrorists. To us tinfoil hat wearing type, it really means it's a tool to fight urban warfare. Like it or not, the day is coming that the goverment will have to control the people. People like you and I that want to stand on the Constitution and not be enslaved and have our guns or any rights taken away.
Check these links out: There is prototypes of both Ford and Chevy models.
