The SmarTruck II was engineered by the US Army's Tank, Automotive, and Armaments CommandÃ*s National Automotive Center (NAC) from a modified Chevrolet Silverado. The 6-wheeled (3-axle) truck can be fitted with a guided missile launcher, (3 km range), and a launcher for a remote-controlled Unmanned Air Vehicle. The stated mission of the vehicle is anti-terrorism and it will probably be used by the United States Department of Homeland Security. NAC executive director Dennis Wend says that he was inspired by a James Bond film in producing the SmarTrucks.

Additional Features
The SmarTruck II has a night vision system, a (50x zoom) video system with thermal imaging and surveillance radar, cameras covering 360° (including one under the vehicle), and a 12,000-pound, straight-line hydraulic towing winch. The grille is covered by a metal bullet-resistant brushguard.

Don't they know that the rednecks like me have 90% of the guns ? City boys are afraid of them . Besides , they make an unsightly bulge in your slacks while you're trying to gance with another closet case ...

Can you really imagine the goobermint trying to go against millions of angry likkered-up gun toting rednecks in that toy ? We have way more guns , better camo , know the land like our own backyard , and hunt the most skittish creatures on Earth .
