Default Same sex marraige discussion

Does anybody have any hard facts re: the benefits and/or negatives regarding same sex marraige. I'm talking specifically about the economic and or municipal impact. I'd rather not discuss the moral and/or religious implications as that is an entirely complete issue in and of itself.
So, for instance...what tax benefits or disadvantages are bestowed upon the hetrosexual couples....are these priveleges or penalties thereby bestowed or inflicted on the same sex marrieds? What economic impact can this have on our insurance industry ....estate taxes? Any legal folks out there with some background in this arena?l

I read two posts down from the main question and you guys are off on gay marriage. 8mm is asking a legit question and he cannot get a serious answer. Get off of your religious/moral input!!!!

8mm - I know what you're asking here, but I find it impossible to talk about same sex marriages without going into the moral and eithical side of it as well. Same-sex domestic partners have had some legal benefits for years now, at least here in MI with regard to health benefits for example. I think that is wrong. Same-sex partners can cover their partner, but oppsite-sex partners cannot. Go figure. Screwed up world.

Sorry for another non-serious answer but I was out for coffee this morning and I heard two old guys talking. One said my god now we got women wanting to marry women and men wanting to marry men. The other guy after a moment or two of thought said I wonder if women marry Women if they would fially be happy and quit bitching about thier spouse? The other guy said NO women are only happy when thier mad. Sort of got a kick out of it. On the more serious side I can't look at it any way but immoral either. IT makes me feel like puking.

What are the benefits and/or negatives regarding same human/canine marriage ? I'm talking specifically about the economic and or municipal impact. I'd rather not discuss the moral and/or religious implications as that is an entirely complete issue in and of itself.
So, for instance...what tax benefits or disadvantages are bestowed upon the inter-mammal marriages....are these priveleges or penalties thereby bestowed or inflicted on the humans and/or canines being married ? What economic impact can this have on our insurance industry ....estate taxes ?

Is that any more valid than what 8mm/06 asked ?

If I married my dog, you think he could draw welfare since he only has a job from the middle of Sept through December?
