Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

No. But I misplaced my car once, so no longer had a use for the keys.

How about this. Car locking it self, with engine running and dog and phone inside. Nearest house five km and -25 C. Just got out the forrest and sweating. I got rid of too much clothing and put my gun to the back when "nice" sound informed me that doors are locked. (that #ยค% central locking system). Not eaven my car(too expensive for me). Couldn't aband the car and dog, so nearest rock and inside through the window.

I keep a spare key on the frame of the Tahoe.
I have locked the keys inside when I have left them in a jacket pocket, tossed it in the rear and closed the tailgate too quickly. Walked about four miles to the dealer, had the cut me a spare and being a nice day walked back. Spare would not work, figured "screw it, Im retired, got a nice day going, I'll walk the 8 miles home, get the spare set and bicycle back" Ended up as a nice day and plenty of fresh air.
The next day i put a spare key box on the frame

Did you ever leave a coffee cup on your roof and drive around till you hear glass breaking?

Not on the roof, but on the bumper of my truck, it was my favorite mug, I heard/saw it break behind me when I hit the gas!

I had one similar to John Bear, I had just come out of the woods, unloaded my gun, put it along with all my gear into the truck, started the truck and when I back up to turn around into the field sunk almost to my axles in mud! Well I get out and grab some wood and limbs to stick under the tires for traction, get back into the truck leaving the door open to where I can see what is going on. Well my exhaust is a "little" loud so I didn't hear my doors auto-lock when the truck thought it was going faster than 15 mph, one of the boards slipped out so I get out to put it back into place closing the door behind me!! Well guess what, the truck is running with the keys locked inside, it was only about a 3 mile walk home freezing my fanny off, got the spare keys and of course no one is around to give me a ride back so I got to walk the three miles back but at least I had a coat on!

Have you ever locked yourself out of your own house? I haven't, but my kids have!

Yep, more than once. Back in the day when I was in a band, my buddy left his guitar in the case right behind the his car. When we left later, he forgot about it and backed right over it. A ten pound guitar is no match for a few thousand pounds of vehicle running over it.
