Gay marriages and Gun rights collide in Cali - VERY interesting
Last month, a well known writer for KeepAndBearArms.com and gun-activist by the name of Divid Codrea wrote a letter to San Francisco's Mayor, a superior court judge and the SFPD acting police chief. This letter was in response to the blatent disregard for upholding law with regard to gay marriages. Being rhetorical in nature, David Codrea asked why the laws were being broken by city officials concerning marrying gays and why there were no arrests being made. He also asked what would happen if he were to publicly display his lifestyle by toting his AR-15 with a couple extra clips full of ammo and a few concealed pistols with no pemits to city hall all in the name of exercising his right to keep and bear arms - if he would be arrested or simply overlooked just as the illegal gay marriages were being supported and overlooked. This caused a stir and an investigation which is still "on-going". The SFPD had to launch an investigation of David Codrea because of receiving his "threatening" letter.
I think this is great this happened. Here's the link to David's account of what happened and the original letter that caused the stir. It's freaking hilarious. Worth the time to read. His letter is at the bottom of this page:
On a side note and as a result of this letter, someone other than Codrea posted this on a site that eventually got a response from a Canadian academic at the Department of Astronomy and Physics at Saint Mary's University. You think we are bad on this board, whew, check this guy's response out - he actually said that David should use his own guns to kill himself to stop his gene pool.

OK, this torks me off, and it should bother you too. I teach in a public school, and I cannot visit the "keepandbarearms" website, as it is filtered out by our network software. In a school where students take courses like history, government, and social issues, a website devoted to the 2nd amendment is blocked! Can you believe it?

I'd like to see him organize a "Second Amendment Pride March" through San Francisco. Maybe the crowd can stop by City Hall and apply for concealed weapon permits, two at a time.
