Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Sounds like they are protesting a Federal mandate because its unfunded from the Federal government as your post stated. But its pretty well guaranteed that if funding is/was available.........there would be no protest.

As my hero Foghorn Leghorn used to say:

"That's a joke son !"(Thanks TR !)

Seriously ,
if we did have smaller govt. the largest employer in the US would have to lay off much of it's workforce resulting in the economy going into a tailspin .

I'm referring , of course , to the govt. itself .

This is just another example of the Federal Government unscrewing the states head and crapping down their throats!

Kevin,
If we had a smaller government, there would be many less taxes levied on businesses big and small, because bureaucrats would not constantly be looking for ways to produce more UNION GOVERNMENT JOBS! That way, businesses, instead of being taxed and regulated to death, would be far more productive and hire more people to produce their goods or services. Also, with all of these companies being able to compete freely and not worry about more regulations and taxes, American made would actually mean something again because businesses could afford to produce quality again. Sounds pretty good to me.

All TIC Big Bore , j/k !
Personally I'm in favor of the small Fed that our Founders favored with the states governing themselves by and large . This is very unlikely to happen in our lifetime because of the way it has become though .
