It has nothing to do with liberalism. Yes, the majority of Americans are Christian, but even they disagree with one another over current issues. Then you have the non-Christians adding to the fray.
We do not need the gospel displayed in our laws and government buildings. If you want to go to Heaven, then go to church. It is not the government's responsibility to get citizens into Heaven, only provide the services they need for life on earth. Salvation is between a man and his God.
It was against the law for a black to marry a white until someone did it and took on the law. Only two ways to change laws in this country. Through the legislative branch or break the law on constitutional grounds.

If you are going to back up your views on homosexual marrife with OT scriptures make sure you follow all the laws in Leviticus,ok.

You totally missed the point of the topic. It does not have anything to do with the salvation of an individual. It has to do with the fact that this nation was founded on Biblical principles and by, for the most part, very godly men. We are running away from that foundation so quick, we are about to crumble!!!
Our nation is becoming so secular and so hedonistic that it is very scary. I fear for my grandchildren and what they will face in 20 years or so when they become parents and 5 or 6 years later when their children start going to school. I only pray that they will be able to go to Christian schools like my children and grandchildren did and are.
I'm not sure where your introduction of the OT came from. I don't see a reference to the law anywhere in anybody's statements.
But, one thing is very clear, and that is God's viewpoint on homosexual sin. If they were still around to query, you could ask the people of Sodom and Gomorrah what His position is. I do believe they would tell you "Flee ye the very appearance of evil", and therefore, the sin of sodomy.

1) They aren't Supreme Court judges appointed by the Governor , they're elected polititians .
2) The ACLU has been after that practically since it began to appear on the money in the 1930s .
3) You got that right .
Since roughly 75% of the US population professes to believe in the Christian concept of God it would be totally unfair to broadbrush the entire country as godless , it just seems that way because of the visibility of the issue . Don't lose any sleep over it .
