What role will we play under this administration with Haiti? ( clintoon aided the installation of the current administration there)
What will the UN do if anything?
Because of its close proximaty to us do we have a right or concern to direct its future?
About 2000 french live there. Will the frogs step in to protect their own or will they let some real men do it for them?

1) What the hell do we care?
2) isn't this another form of "manifest destiny"? ???
3) If china/canada/England/Germany all invaded the United States because they didn't like our policy on partial birth abortion -- would you be mad ???
GET THE HELL OUT OF EVERY DAMN COUNTRY ON THE GLOBE!
Geez, we're wrong alot of times, let them sort it out for themselves and if they become a CREDIBLE threat to us then we act. .....
Why haven't we gone into Saudia Arabia yet? The birthplace/homeland of the 9/11 "terrorists" .......
We need to stop bankrolling the UN. They wouldn't have the financial ability to cause so much trouble then. And there needs to be an investigation into how they've handled the food for oil funds with Iraq. That stinks to high heaven.

Because Saudri Arabia still means something to us. If you notice, the countries that we ignore are the countries that we have no use for and who do not benifit us.
Haiti is a very good example of installing a government and then bailing out, and should be studied closely and used as an example of what NOT to do in the future.
Haiti was Clintons first venture into world politics, and showed all the signs of failure from jump street.
The military commanders all said; Either lets go in, in force and do it right, or lets don't do anything. Haiti turned out to be CLASSIC 60's style warfare. The "on the ground" commanders had little or no say in their own day to day operations. Everything was controled from the comfort of Washington D.C. offices.
It was ultimately the first of many botched operations run by the Clinton administration and why the military in general had such a dis-like for Clinton.
Either do it, and do it right, and commit for the long term...Or don't do it at all.
What to do now?
Thats hard to say...We lost a lot of credibility in 93 when we left 'em hanging.
Screw Haiti !
That island of human quagmire became an extremely popular vacation spot for the fags during the 80s , AIDS will solve the problem with no help from us needed .

First off I think we, under clintoons administration screwed things up in Haiti.
The problem now is what to do about the out and out murders occurring there in the name of revolution? Further, if and when there are refugees how do we deal with them?
We are present at the negotiation table and the rebels who have the momentum are not about to take anything less than the entire ball of wax.
I think that it has been since about 1993 that we installed or up held the government and that has been a long enough time. Stay out of replacing or installing any leader.
The UN if it wants to make some attempt at saving face is in a positin to deal with this tiny speck of land with rebels with very limited resoruces. Maybe they can get the canadians, frogs and germans to step in and restore order. Heck the canandians do love the area and vacationing in Cuba so much they could look at it as expanding their recreational resort area. Between them and the french they may have enough of an army to do something in Haiti.
I think we should create a blockade and ensure no refugees get out or come here and no one else gets to go in except maybe the french to extract their citizens or a UN approved mission to restore order.
The embassey we have there, once purged of anything of a sensitive nature should be left until a new governmant is in place and we are invited to return. No building or such plot of land in such a discussing place is worth one Americans life.
Because of it's close proximity to us and to Cuba, we do have a strong interest in what happens there. But that does not mean we should go in before or if ever necessary to ensure our Nation from a threat.
