State's attorney general ran off road in Dodge County

Madison - State Attorney General Peg Lautenschlager said today that she was arrested for drunken driving in Dodge County while returning to her Fond du Lac home from the Capitol on Monday.

DUI Arrest

Peg Lautenschlager was elected the state's first female attorney general in 2002.

Lautenschlager, 48, said in a statement that she had made a "terrible mistake" and added: "While driving home, I fell asleep and drove off the road, and was subsequently cited for operating a vehicle while intoxicated."

In her statement, she promised to "accept the consequences of and will take responsibility for my actions."

We have a local radio personality that will on occasion take over for Rush Limbaugh (his name is Mark Belling) , well he's on vacation so a former state senator Mark Neumann had the show today.

I was on the radio !!!! He actually let me spout a short blurb about how her crime is very serious considering she was in a position to battle the 0.08% Bac law via the 10th amendment, but didn't.

Statistically speaking, Teddy Boy's passengers when he's DUI have a high death rate. Probably not a good idea for her or anybody else.
