There are many forms of it taking place all around us today by the powers that be that will run this world, and our lives. Chem trails are one of many for instance. For this thread though, I'd like to get your take on the prescription market. This is a trillion dollar business. I heard on the news some guys being interviewed about the new scrip for cancer - the one that Martha Stewart is in hot water over. The guys from the pharmaceutical company were basically talking out both sides of their mouths by saying the drug really isn't a cure for cancer and may not even slow any type of cancer down, but it has been shown in research to help early stages of cancer, not to cure it or get ride of mind you, but to slow it down. (argh?) I believe the estimated dollar gross over the life of this drug is 24 billion. And for what? Because the scrip companies have a new drug to push? Take a look at all the "designer drugs" out there now - ever hear or read about the side effects? This is no accident. I'm not against the medical community as a whole, but it tic's me off when all you hear from people is, "I went to the doctor for this cold, flu, sinus infection, etc.. and got an antibiotic". For what? To blow out your immune system? To blow out your thyroid gland or your liver? Is it big business or do these drugs really help? Some anitbiotics have their place, I'm not saying they are all bad. But we are trained as a society to run to the docs and get an antibiotic. I believe these are causing more harm than good. Case in point: my buddy runs to the doc to get an antibiotic every time he gets a sniffle, he's sick almost all year round and is starting to have numerous other problems. In the opposite corner, I don't take antibiotics ever and am very rarely sick. If I do get run down and catch what's going around, I'm usually over it in a few days where others take weeks to get over it. Take a look at the food pyramid the gov wants us to follow - a diet that will surely kill you, or lock you into heart medication for the rest of your shortaned life. Anyway, I'm done ranting, what do you all think? Am I nuts? Paranoid? Stupid? Or just aware.

You're not being paranoid Badshot ,
I've never personally trusted any profession that profits only when I'm miserable . Be it doctor , lawyer , auto mechanic , I never trust someone who's check depends on me being stuck somehow . If they have a vested interest in keeping your wallet in your hand there's no telling what lengths they'll go to to keep it there .

People want everything ... and they want to get it as easily as possible and companies realize this and market the hell out of it. You can apply that to dang near everything too.
badshot......I think you may be on to something. I too feel "we" as a society have become way too over medicated. Look at anyone who is elderly (and the affected age is dropping) and how many types of meds they have to take. Look at the different types of meds and how many of them react to the other. My wife's grandpa had two meds that actually cancelled each other out. (What's the use in that?)
Something else to add that this thread made me think of: How many raghead doctors are in the states now? With all the things going on globally, do you have a foreign doctor? I don't. What better way to kill Americans than as a doctor and use perscription drugs? The process may be slow, to avoid detection, but dead is still dead. The terrorists were financed well enough to get some pilots trained in the US, why not a few doctors. Some may think I'm being paranoid, but I call it cautious. Just something to ponder.
When I get a cold (rarely), I mix a hot toddy, drink it and go to bed. When I wake up, I feel great.........unless the glass was too big.
