Now I may be mistaken, as I've never hunted bear, and someone please correct me if I'm wrong. From what I understand, hunting a bear over bait isn't as easy as sounds, and hunting bear without bait is extremely difficult. The problem is that most non-hunters just don't understand how difficult hunting game animals can be. I've talked with people who think that deer hunting is as simple as walking out into the woods and pulling the trigger. The problem is that anti-hunters don't need shows like that to fuel their fire. Anti's are, by and large, either completely ignorant of the facts and/or are fanatics driven by irrational emotions who choose to disregard the reality of conservation and population control in favor of unrealistic "feel good" solutions. The fact of the matter is, the people who would outlaw hunting don't care if bear are hunted over bait or not. They just care that the bear are hunted, period.
