Is it ez to became white trash in Arkansas?

Would a transiant white trash yankee like myself (paranoid antisocial, misfit) fit in a cheap bungalow near buckville/the big lake there. west of Hot springs ,ar.

Was looking at a place& thinking of doing the snow bird thing/ migrate between WY&AR.
Looks like they all got a olot of really nice fishing there[8D]!And a free trees etc. Dont think i/ we want to eb there in the summer...[] - i was thinking living there oct-nov thew april.Thus avoiding winters here..after hunting sesons over & then going to Ar. do a lot of fishin etc.
ol lady just retired not so long ago & will sell this house & get a "hunting shack" on some property here we own.

migration for warmth is somewhat of a factor too( did i mention fishing?)..but only in winter lol im getting old i think.

A lot of ppl seem to live there in Ar & a lot of towns on the map( some arent really towns?)

It would be a sight unseen sale- i & we have never even been to Ar/ know no one - maybe i just get werd ideas in my head - like i did moving here lol

This past summer driving up to Branson, drove up the heart of Arkansas to see the Ozarks. The Hot Springs area was nice....I recommend Fisherman's Wharf on Lake Hamilton....great food! We steered clear of Hope, Arkansas but stopped at Booger Hollow and bought tshirts....just had to have a souvenir of that place! The people in that area are friendly and it looks like a good place to live. We saw some white trash.....but they are everywhere!

I always thought they were just born that way. I guess you could be recruited from yankee WT to southern WT in little time though.

1 Eye, we've been going up to the Ft. Smith area for several years now, ( A buddy of mine retired from the Army there.)
I really like the fishing and hunting up there. Especially up along the old Fayetteville highway, north of Ft. Smith!
I wouldn't mind retiring up there myself! We will probably annex Arkansas in the near future, so that I will still be living in Texas!

If you truly aspire to the white trash thing, you need to be looking for an older model single wide in a trailer park.
I worked on several jobs in Arkansas over the years, mostly in the North Western part of the state. Beautiful country, great people and the home of the record Brown Trout great granddaddy of all time.
I think if you want to avoid the winter thing though you will have to forgoe that part of Arkansas and move further South.

One thing is for sure, you ought to have some pretty good duck hunting within driving distance!!!! Stuttgart is the Duck hunting capital of the world!

Everything you've heard about AR is true and more .... something to always have in the back of your head.

Stay in mtn country .... the flat lands are ghastly IMO, mucky, muddy, mosquito infested drainage ditches for the mtn county of the Quachitas and Ozarks.

Touristy area i thought maybe yes ..-yep is gona make my economic situation look like white trash maybe.( wouldnt be the first time.( should i bring some dirt& rocks of myown so yall can make a decent size mtn/ molehill?lol

But it still does look like a fishin heaven & i was thinkin even tho south not as warm as i might think or want in winter. BUt...winters gota be better then here,s( we are fairly variable at times - being warmer then alanta- D.c etc recently..a fluke more then a normal thing.

First yr here(89) the therm hit minus 45-48 degrees below the zero mark.
