gender reassignment, what bathroom do they use?
I ask this because years ago I was working in a hospital where a man was
having a sex change operation. He insisted that he should use the girls
restroom. Of course the girls refused to let him. The men didn"™t want him
in their restroom. He ended up suing the hospital, forcing them to build him his own restroom. The hospital had to dish out loads of money to do this. I didn"™t want him in the restroom with me, due to the fact he found men attractive. The girls didn"™t want a man (even though it looked female
genetically it was a man) in the restroom with them.
What do you think?

He/she sued and won? For his/her own bathroom?
Boy, that is a tough one. I can see both the mens and the womans points on this, and I also think that this guy/girl or whatever he/she is has a right to take a leak somewhere. There is no way that a bathroom should be built for a single person though. Hmm, I'm at a loss on this one.
I guess I would have found a way to fire him/her so I wouldn't have to deal with it.

i think its a load of crap. since he isnt really a male anymore and he definitely isnt a female, maybe he should supply his own bathroom facilities.................. what a waste of time energy and money, shi* like this will lead to the end.(whatever that may be)

I felt the same way. Then he/it could sue on grounds of discrimination.
Not long after the bathroom was built, it quit. They ended up using the new bathroom as a unisex bathroom. So I guess the hospital was not all at a loss.
I just wonder if a heterosexual could file charges on a person who uses a public restroom of their new gender, rather than their genetic gender, or visa-versa.?????? Im not afraid to say, I would have problems using a urinal next to a women who has been changed to a guy. Im not homophobic, just feel a little weird about the idea. The women I worked with were addimit about their stance.

I would also like to add that we employees got to see the full process of the hormone therapy etc. I think this is what caused the problems. For a period of time we had a man who was growing breasts, trying to act like the ladies, and wanted to use the girls restroom. He look like a man with boobs. What sex would feel comfortable using the same restroom with it.

If he kept his mouth shut from the beginning, dressed and talked like a woman, no one would have known, and he could have used the ladies room. He was probably the type to make it everybody's business though, eh? Stir the pot, get attention...
