Local taxes a crock!!!

I live in one locality and work in another, as does my wife. Our locality taxes are .75%, where I work is 1.5% and where my wife works is 2.25%. So, we're paying 4.5% in taxes and only using .75% from our locality. We get nothing back....

Absolute joke. At least the federal tax is equal to all...at least in the aspect of getting back what you overpay.

I have the same situation Pro-Line ,
and my wife will soon . I have to pay the city that I work in for the priveledge of driving there 5 days a week to bust my hump , and I'm not even a resident of their state ! I don't have a problem with paying the state or county I live in since I use their services , but I don't even buy gas or shop in the state where I work . [:@]

I've been in that situation, but my employer withheld for my residence primarily, and then withheld the difference for 2nd local tax. I didn't know, or care to know the law, so I trusted them.
