Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Strange system

I watched some program where four people touring door to door advertising for their candidate. This time it was for Dean. They talk to someone who was for Dean for a while and get to the next door. There man said that he was for Kerry they say just " oh we are so sorry" and left. Next door man was again for Dean and they talk to him for a while. Why didn't they try to talk to the person who was for Kerry to chance his mind.

Another example. Every time I see on tv candidate talks to people seem like everybody are his voters and cheers their %ss off. Shouldn't he talk to convincing those who are not sure.

Just wondering.

Hi John Bear,

You are right. They should concentrate on the "undecided" people if they wanted an effective campaign.

But in truth. Most of the people you'll likely speak with on this site....would actually prefer....he "just close his mouth....and not talk at all anymore"! A majority of gun owners/hunters you will likely meet in America...believe that!

Isn't it boring to talk to people who have same thinkin pattern than yours. It is like "yes", "ok", "i hear you" and "ZZZzzzz".

Hi John Bear,

I enjoy differing points of view interculturally, as we previously discussed. But I do not enjoy those Americans that would like to take all that is good in this country.....and "throw it off" as so much naval lint! What I find tolerable concerning other cultures....is not what I necessarily believe politically is "best" for our nation. Nor would I prefer to see what I believe to be basically best about our nation....torn down in some large "social experiment". We have plenty of examples to "watch"...being perpetrated against the peoples of the world....and that "is close enough for me".

So to answer your question more directly.....No. It isn't boring to me to enjoy "the silence"......as opposed to listening to shameful pandering. Dean panders to the special interest groups, (far more socialistically than I personally believe to be in the best interest of "our country"), and he doesn't "lean to the left". He is an outright Marxist.....and I have no use for him or his ilk.......in this nation. If others chose to listen....that's their right! But the great thing about America is my right to "not be forced to listen to BS"........when I know BS is being presented!

I can recognize s**t from the smell......I don't need to taste it to know....I wouldn't like the taste of it!

So, while I find it interesting to discuss with persons of different nations and cultures, in an effort to expand my knowledge and world view........that by no means infers I'd like to see all of those "values" adopted in this nation! I don't see a contradiction at all! I believe in "learning from the mistakes of others"!!!!

Dave

P.S. On a more singular level......have you ever lived with someone that you just knew was full of s**t? And would rather have them be silent...than interrupt your serenity? That sums up....how I feel about Dean!

Hi John Bear,

Yes! But having been down that road before.....how often do I need to "walk through the same field of s**t"......before I realize there is nothing to "come of it"....but stink? Let Marxism lie in the field as "fertilizer for the minds of men throughout history for its lessons of failure"! I have chosen to wash my hands and feet of the stench of it....and prefer not to have it as part of "my country"!

Isn't America a wonderful place?

P.S. And full of opinionated people too!

Hi again John Bear,

Yes....that part I agreed with you on......in my original post! They most certainly should attempt to make their beliefs known to those not supporting their candidate. That is the only effective way to campaign...to convert the undecided....and maybe even those not originally believing your platform. So, in that we are indeed in agreement!

I'm only making my personal argument based upon my life's experience...and my decision to no longer give audience to such foolishness! Dean represents the opposite of what I believe makes a good President!

Dave

P.S. I'd as soon have Jacque Chirac (spit) for President......as Dean!
