RE: Strange system
Hi John Bear,
I enjoy differing points of view interculturally, as we previously discussed. But I do not enjoy those Americans that would like to take all that is good in this country.....and "throw it off" as so much naval lint! What I find tolerable concerning other cultures....is not what I necessarily believe politically is "best" for our nation. Nor would I prefer to see what I believe to be basically best about our nation....torn down in some large "social experiment". We have plenty of examples to "watch"...being perpetrated against the peoples of the world....and that "is close enough for me".
So to answer your question more directly.....No. It isn't boring to me to enjoy "the silence"......as opposed to listening to shameful pandering. Dean panders to the special interest groups, (far more socialistically than I personally believe to be in the best interest of "our country"), and he doesn't "lean to the left". He is an outright Marxist.....and I have no use for him or his ilk.......in this nation. If others chose to listen....that's their right! But the great thing about America is my right to "not be forced to listen to BS"........when I know BS is being presented!
I can recognize s**t from the smell......I don't need to taste it to know....I wouldn't like the taste of it!
So, while I find it interesting to discuss with persons of different nations and cultures, in an effort to expand my knowledge and world view........that by no means infers I'd like to see all of those "values" adopted in this nation! I don't see a contradiction at all! I believe in "learning from the mistakes of others"!!!!
Dave
P.S. On a more singular level......have you ever lived with someone that you just knew was full of s**t? And would rather have them be silent...than interrupt your serenity? That sums up....how I feel about Dean!
