Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Edwards Tax Stance

Edwards is getting pretty know with the saying that America is divided into 2 groups:

The "Priveledged" and the "Rest Of Us"
of something along that same line.

Edwards(just like other Dems) is for giving more tax breaks to the people who make less money and have higer taxes for the ones that make more money.

After I put my hard work into getting my college degree, and getting a good job that I work hard for, then why should the high-school drop-out bum working at McDonalds get the pat on the back? Whatever happened to the phylosophy(sp) of getting what you deserve, or you earn a dollar and get a dollar?

Edwards is such a big fan of eliminating the "Priveledge" when in fact even with his tax cuts the 2 groups will still be there. Let's say we give the low-income a 500% tax decrease and the high-income a 500% tax increase, would that eliminate the 2 groups? Absolutely not. What Edwards is saying makes absolutely no sense.

And again I want to post this comic that goes great with this topic. Does anybody have a good explanation of where the democrats are coming from or is this just another case of politicians taking advantage of uneducated democrats?

A young teenage girl was about to finish her first year of college. She considered herself to be a very liberal Democrat but her father was a rather staunch Republican.

One day she was challenging her father on his beliefs and his opposition to taxes and welfare programs. He stopped her and asked her how she was doing in school.

She answered that she had a 4.0 GPA but it was really tough. She had to study all the time, never had time to go out and party. She didn't have time for a boyfriend and didn't really have many college friends because of spending all her time studying.

He asked, "How is your friend Mary." She replied that Mary was barely getting by. She had a 2.0 GPA, never studied, but was very popular on campus, went to all the parties all the time. Why she often didn't show up for classes because she was hung over.

Dad then asked his daughter why she didn't go to the Dean's office and ask why she couldn't take 1.0 off her 4.0 and give it to her friend who only had a 2.0. That way they would both have a 3.0 GPA.

The daughter angrily fired back, "That wouldn't be fair, I worked really hard for mine and Mary has done nothing".

The father slowly smiled and said, "Welcome to the Republican Party".

Unfortunately, today's Republican party would have the daughter keep her 4.0, give Mary a point, and give a few more points to selected friends and associates.

Thats a very good example KS!
Democratic platform is no different than Socialism. Tax the working people, give to those who won't work. Then tax the working people more, after all, the government knows how to spend your money better than you do!
Then everyone becomes dependent on "Big Brother!"
Oh, and BTW, you don't need any guns either, we'll protect you!
