After reading the subject of dangerous places in American, it brings me the question to what everyone thinks is the most dangerous roads not only in US, but everywhere. Here in California both I-5 and Highway I-46 are two of the most dangerous. I46 is worse because its only two lane for about 70 miles. Alot of people have been killed on that road, including James Dean Jr. Its also considered as one of the most top 10/20 dangerous roads in US.

I have heard that worlds most dangerous road is in Chile. That's if you count it on deaths. I heard this few years back. Don't remember accurately so Ihave to get back on this one.

Here is quote in some writing about the road and a picture:
In the first eight months of 2002 no less than 98 people died, and 147 were wounded in 57 accidents on the small jungle road running north from La Paz to Caranavi. In the months that followed the statistic only became worse. Not without reason tourists call this the 'most dangerous road in the world'. The danger is caused by the width of the road; 4 to 6 meters is not a lot for a big bus or a truck loaded with people in the back. A steep ravine on the left is a frightening view for the passengers and on the right side a steep rock face doesn't give any room for a sidestep.
