Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default christianity on flights.

AA pilot encourages passengers to discuss Christianity on flight

NEW YORK (AP) "” An American Airlines pilot asked Christians on his flight to identify themselves and discuss their religion with non-Christian passengers, the airline said.
The case was handed over to the airline's personnel department for an investigation, spokesman Tim Wagner said Sunday.

"It falls along the lines of a personal level of sharing that may not be appropriate for one of our employees to do while on the job," he had said earlier.

American's Flight 34 was headed from Los Angeles to New York's John F. Kennedy Airport on Friday when the pilot asked Christians on board to raise their hands, Wagner said.

The pilot, whose name was not released, told the airline that he then suggested the other passengers use the flight time to talk to the Christians about their faith, Wagner said.

The pilot also told passengers he would be available for discussion at the end of the flight.

Wagner said the pilot had just returned to work from a weeklong mission trip to Costa Rica.

Because of privacy issues, there would likely never be any announcement as to what kind of punishment or reprimand the pilot may face, Wagner said. The pilot was not scheduled to fly during the weekend, he said.

That's really rediculous. The guy will probably be fired. A business cannot afford to turn people off by force feeding them something they may not want when they can't get away from it. How would you feel if the hooker on the plane started discussing her $ex life with everyone on the plane. It was the wrong platform to try and spread his faith. He may not loose his job, but something is going to come down to him from high above.

This goes back to the "opinion about religion" thread that you initiated. Let me just quote myself.

Quote:
This is why I almost hate religion. Because there is always someone out there questioning what I or other people choose to believe and if it aint their way it is wrong and I am going to burn in Hell.

Someone wanting to preach to me when I am walking through a parking lot, preaching to me when I am stoped at a light, giving me flyers with bible versus printed on them, telling me that I am going to hell if I do not believe.

In my own experiences I have run across more hypocritical "church goers" than in any other walk of life, wether Christian, Catholic, or what ever.
Add sitting on a plane minding my own D**N business to the list.

BTW, Not jumping on you about if I sound kind of cranky about this. But this is an excelent example of what I was talking about. You couldn't have posted a better thread to back up my statements if you had writen it yourself.

It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools such as those who made him their president."

Good for him. Christians have been told for so long now that they mustn't trod on someone elses beliefs that many have forgotten that they are commanded by God to witness in His name.

One thing is for sure. The most hated thing in all the world is the Name of Jesus Christ. The wicked gnash their teeth at His mention, and the hiss, and howl.

Under the regulations of man, this pilot will suffer, but upon judgement our Lord will say unto him "Well done my faithful, and obiedient servant"

How it does my heart good to see my brother risk his income for the Lord Jesus Christ. What a man, what a servant of God!!!!!!!.

I won't answer for Ben, but I will say this....

I am sourrounded by atheists, pagans, wiccans, buddists, muslims, and every other sort of idol worship. It has no effect on me. Jesus Christ is the Alpha, and the Omega.
