Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Reagan on gun control!

"The Automobile is the greatest peace-time killer in history. There is no talk of banning the auto. With the auto we have cracked down on drunken drivers, and on careless drivers. We need also to crack down on people who use guns carelessly, or with criminal intent." Ronald Reagan 1975

At the time this article was written, I was still blindly a "yellow dog democrat!"
Like him or not, he supported the Second Amendment!, gun owners, and hunters!

Hey JagMagMan,

Making that switch wasn't nearly as bad as you thought it would be...huh? (Been there......done that......myself.) It's amazing what a little life experience and maturity will do for most people!

I guess that was recognized generations ago with the observation....."if you're 20 years old and a liberal, you have no heart........and if you're 40 years old and not a conservative, you have no mind".......or words to that effect!

Dave

Been there, done that, both the wife and I were raised in democrat homes, 1 X on the ballot type. The republicans did'nt convert me the democrats did, and clinton was the straw that broke the camels back.

Akbound , yeah there is a lot of truth to that little slogan! Age and responsibility can change the way you see things!

Strut, I was not "converted" by the Republicans either! The Dem's did it to themselves!
Old habits are hard to break though, my area is still Yellow Dog Democrat!
If people would quit listening to some liberal union leader, or what Gramp's thought umpteen years ago, and start thinking for themselves, they would probably soon see that the Democratic party platform, does not line up with the views we hold most dear to us!
