Typical liberal knee jerks that want to ban all guns in due time. The Ruger mini-14 and mini-30 are a couple of outstanding ranch rifles and great varmint guns. Better write yer congressmen and try to keep NY and California in NY and California. This basically says that guns can only be for sporting but what about home defense? When did self defense become a bad thing? Nothing better than that pistol grip short barrel 12 guage under the bed as a deterrent.[>:]

Hey, it doesn't matter to me. My 8 shot Winchester Defender is easier to hang onto with the full stock anyway. They can get lost!

Just think about the authority the Attorney General will have if this law passes, Right now we as gun owners would'nt be into much danger of losing more guns with Ashcroft but what will happen if we get another clinton-reno type, SCAREY.

Would Benelli's Super Black Eagle w/ the pistol grip be considered an 'assault weapon' if that bill passed? I hope the answer is no...
