Here's What's Wrong with the Janet Jackson Thing

Those two spoiled little celebrity brats knew that what they were doing was wrong. They dedided to do it anyway. They said "America, screw you - we can do whatever we want because we're celebrities". If they didn't think it was a big deal, why didn't they get approval from CBS and the NFL first? They think they're better than us and they can do whatever they want. It's time to make an example out of them. They need to grow up. They couldn't just restrain themselves for the Superbowl?

1st off, Janet isn't a spoiled brat, shes and adult woman, and Timberlake is an adult too. Both of them have worked very hard in their careers, you cannot take that from them.

2nd of course they knew what they were doing, it was a "see who be naughtier" deal that is classic MTV style stuff. Kid Rock tried to steal the show by bastaridizing the American Flag, Nelly did his rapping bump and grind show, but a titty flopping out on stage ? Oh yeah, Janet took the top honor with that one. Of course they didn't "clear" it first of they wouldn't have gotten to use the old "apparel malfunction" excuse


3rd - No, you too could have shown your nipples at the Super Bowl, or streaked across the stage. Why wasn't Janet charged ? I dunno, good question, indecent exposure but it wasn't voluntary and the whole thing was called "accidental".

Really a good coverup, something that'd never stick in court.

Gorw up ? They entertain, its what they do, its their business. And they did just that and 48 hours later people are STILL talking about it. In that they did EXACTLY what CBS and MTV wanted them to do.

The main problem I see is because this was nothing more than a publicity stunt, most of the universe is still focused on it.

best thing you can do is ignore it completely, ignore janet jackson and anything she has a part in as well as justin timberlake. these people survive on their marketability, if no one cares then they will suffer. so instead of getting all bent out of shape because of what the entertainers did, simply cast your vote by not supporting them, as they say there is no such thing as bad publicity. boycott them and the people involved. dont let your kids watch mtv dont let them buy janet's, justin's or kid rock's music etc, screw em.

I understand from FCC they will probably be fined $27,500 each for each CBS affiliate, which showed the superbowl, (most of tehm I would think) and that will run into the millions. Was a 5 sec shot of her tit worth that, I think not, let them pay, that will break up any future thought of anyone else trying it....

This might look silly to me because where I live and thank god for that.
It just don't understant why every music video, tv serie or movies that comes there the last inch, to show human body at it's natural beauty, is so guarted.

I don't have a problem with sex....or sexuality. I lived in Europe (FRG) for over eight years. But I really would prefer that Super Bowl halftime is not where my four year old granddaughter be taught it!

P.S. By the way......I'm thankful that I live in America....because I'd like to think that our history has had something to do at various times with the rest of the world not being either Nazi.....or later Communists! (And before you shoot me....I know that Finland resisted both of those regimes bravely....and unbelievably well.....but in the end size and the resources were against Finland. So I'm not putting down Finland.....just "talking up" America!)

P.S.S. If you decide you still "have to" shoot me anyway.....please at least do it with a cartridge like the 6.5X55....or something similar. So I have the pleasure of having been done in by a "classic" (And yes....I know that's a Swede.[8D])

That 6,5X55 that was bad. Year ago I shot at moose on 6,5 and two days and 50 km I was after it before I reach it. It was achievement but NEVER again moose hunting with 6,5.

Five seconds?????? What Super show where you watching?? Actual tv air time was not even one second, And the screen shot was fading out to go to the announcers. All the TV aired was a flash of skin color. The TV shot was not even close enough to tell it was a boob or skin covered cloth.

I sat there last night watching all the "Offended People" on the local news cast, while they were giving the 800 numbers to call and complain to. Here was this broadcast woman, with her shirt half way unbuttoned complain about the 1/2 second boob shot, when you could practicly see just as much as Janets.[:'(]

Where is the outcry about NYPD Blue?? They show naked butts and half breast all the time! Wheres they out cry and demand for sensors when you see a guys but getting out of bed in Country videos ("I melt") [:'(]
