Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Well, there goes my plans for the weekend...

Oregon Constitution:
Article II, Section 9. Penalty for dueling. Every person who shall give, or accept a challenge to fight a duel, or who shall knowingly carry to another person such challenge, or who shall agree to go out of the State to fight a duel, shall be ineligible to any office of trust, or profit.

You oregonians are nuts. You would think that if someone had the stones to actually go through with a duel they would be better for public office !!

(I actually knew two drunks, both friends with each other, that in 1982 dueled in an alley off of 27th street in milwaukee .. luckily they were so intoxicated neither hit each other. One of the guys later took a bet that he couldn't boil gasoline on the stove in his apartment before it exploded. The moron did it and won the bet... god I know some brain trusts)

well by the looks of it , you can't even get a job where you could make money ( ineligible for office of trust or profit ) i wonder how many people actually were banned from office by doing that
