I would like to aim this particular post at our very own FNG.
It's one of those mexican posts.
Our local co-op recently took bids on a long term power line "Brush and tree cutting" endeavor.
These guys will be cutting everything that grows under a set of power lines in a county that encompases some 540 square miles. It is a minimum of a two year job, and maximum of two and a half years.
An out of town company won the bid.
No local people lost any jobs, and because of the low cost of this "low" bid, electric rates won't go up either. The local economy will prosper because of the added influx of people and money. The grocery stores will get some...the convienience stores will get some, the food and beverage (resteraunts) will get some, and the lodging folks will get some. Who knows, there might even be a few "locals" employed as a result.
And I expect that even though not a one of them speaks more that two words of english, they are all green card carrying workers.

1) Are they here legally? -- probably not.
2) Was the bidding process open to public scrutiny? - I can guarantee you NOT.
3) What local scumbag is getting kickbacks for this "wonderful endeavor"
4) Have you done ANY research on the cost of illegals in this country?
I have, and they cost a ton more than they provide. You as a small employer may love your semi-legal slave labor. I for one don't and I certainly don't like the aspect of free education, welfare and AA they get.

FNG, I think that there is a small part of social economics that you missed out on during your elementary school years.
There are those that provide a service, and those that purchase a service. It is up to those that provide a service to make those that purchase a service happy. If you ain't happy with your service...Then get your stuff from somewhere else.

If the folks who provide services are so evil, then why are they still in business? Dont'cha think that folks like you would refuse to be served by them and they would go out of business?

Somewhere in your delirium you have made the assumption that I advocate Illegals providing a service...I do not.
This particular scenario that I am elluding to is most assuredly on the up-and-up. How do I prove that? How does one prove anything on an internet forum...
If we got them here in Wisconsin and I know where they are, you sure as hell have them there.
I invite you to my humble town of Hot Springs...If you can find ONE illegal alien in ten days I'll kiss your ass in front of the court house and give you a week to gather up a crowd.
