Why are we calling you the enemy? It's because that"™s what the NRA has called all of us in a massive e-mail just sent out. It's just another clear sign of how extreme and virulent the leadership of the NRA has become.

On the bright side, if being attacked is a measure of success, we"™re incredibly successful. So much so, that we collected 8,000 names on our Moms petition in just one week. That adds on to the almost 175,000 who signed the NRA Blacklist petition. Our momentum keeps on building. Check out the NRA's entire email (Click here). Do it, it"™s worth it. It"™s a paranoid and mean-spirited diatribe from Wayne LaPierre, the CEO of the National Rifle Association, about our efforts to maintain the assault weapons ban, defend the Brady Bill, and preserve the rights of gun crime victims.

LaPierre"™s e-mail is delusional. He knows that we don't question anyone"™s right to own guns. This isn"™t about the Second Amendment and this isn"™t about confiscating anyone"™s guns. This isn"™t about stopping people from hunting. This is about keeping our children safe. This is about sane gun policies, like keeping military-style rapid-fire assault weapons off the street. The NRA wants them back on the street and that's sheer madness. And like giving immunity to the gun dealer who armed the DC snipers so family members of victims won't be able to sue him.

This is about telling the NRA to stay away from my family.

Here is more NRA madness. Caving to NRA pressure, the Republican-controlled Senate and the Bush administration passed an anti-law enforcement provision that will destroy gun sale records after just 24 hours, making it much more difficult to track guns that have been used in crimes. Every major police organization has spoken out against it. William Bratton, Chief of Police in L.A., went on ABC News to denounce the bill. "The provision is quite frankly a disgrace and a disservice to the men and women in law enforcement and to the public," he said.

It"™s a dangerous and reckless bill. And very soon a bill will be introduced to repeal the 24-hour recordprovision. It will not pass unless hundreds of thousands of us speak up.

I didn't recieve the nra email either.
I vehemently disagree with the commie mommies (good name for them)!!
They need to watch the 20/20 show that John Stossel did, especially the part where he interviewed the convicts.
