so there's a big controversy over jesse jackson coming to speak at u of a for unity week. some student on the student government board is ticked that he is coming for the purpose of unity week because he believes it won't unify the campus. everyone is writing letters and griping and throwing around words like "racist." all this just goes to prove the kid's point...jesse jackson will not unify the campus...just the mention of the topic has already caused disruption. i hate this liberal town. you don't have to be a genius to figure out that jesse jackson is gonna come and pull off his regular "i'm the black version of both the president and the savior" bull. jesse jackson at the university of arkansas? home of the razorhogs. do they really think this is gonna unify anything? let's not pretend to be something we aren't. plus they are paying him $3,900 out of the students' pocket. i'd rather have my 25 cents that went into that pot to buy a dang superball than to have the smartest "african" in the world telling me about leroy getting to go to college.
and don't call me a racist. i'm not. i just think jesse jackson is. if it's wrong to hurt people based on their skin color, then why is it right to help them based on their skin color?
Okay, I couldn't find anything on the U of A website about this story, but this guy goes there, and was mad about it, and made a journal entry on Xanga...I clicked on the "Diversity Task Force" link on the school's homepage but it wouldn't come up...what a load of bullcrap...gotta love this "education" people get in college nowadays...

strut - Aint that the truth ! I would take losing seasons the next 50 years before I'd take Nolan back - I dispised that man and his racist attitudes.
He and Jesse are sad in that they went from nothing to something and still say that it cannot be done in todays world. They did it but do not want the minority youth of today to believe they can without being treated "special"
