Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Support for Bush

The support I've read on this site for Bush is sickening. The Bush administrations has the worst ever environmental IN HISTORY!!! As hunters and outdoor enthusiast I would have thought that this would be an important topic but I hardly see any reference to it. Check it out for yourself. It's no lie.

How many of you are better off today than you were in 2000. Did you get the "GREAT" tax cut? Have your local taxes gone up as a result of the fed cutting local funding, probably. Are you out of work or know someone who has lost their job as a result for a poor economic policy set forth by the Bush administration? Do you know a senior who can't afford their Rx's and are taking a lower dose or quit taking their meds all together because they can't afford them. DO YOU KNOW SOME ONE WHO HAS BEEN DEPLOYED FOR MONTHS AT A TIME, CALLED UP AND DEPLOYED OR BEEN WOUNDED OR KILLED IN BATTLE?

Why would you want to support a president like this? Why don't we call up the executive boards of Enron and Tyco and see if they need work. THE CURRENT ADMINISTRATION IS SELLING OUT OUR COUNTRY! STAND UP, VOTE AND TAKE OUR COUNTRY BACK!

I'm immensely better. In 2000 I didn't have a job as a result of the virtual collapse of the IT consulting business in the city I lived in. Even when I did consulting work, I didn't make half of what I make now. I was renting apartments, not living in the house that I was able to buy, thanks in part to the low interest rates.

Yes I did get my portion of the tax cut, because I pay income taxes. This year I'll be paying less because the marriage penalty has gone down. I also can deduct the interest paid on my mortgage, which I didn't have in the "great" economy of the nineties.

Nope. I do know some people that were FIRED because of their incompetence. One has been sitting on his ass for six months collecting unemployment compensation, while applying for jobs he doesn't have a chance in hell of getting, just to fill the requirements.

No, I don't. Everyone I know can afford their meds. I do know people that can't afford or can't get access to certain procedures that the wonderful Government-run Medicare system won't cover or is mired in red tape and pre-approval stages.

No I don't....but I can tell you that 100% of those deployed were volunteers.

So in answer to your questions, no I don't know anyone who fits those exact criteria...and neither do you.

kshunter,

By all means, let it fly!

The democrats aren't the strongest bunch of candidates but they have yet to run up half trillion dollar deficits, send our armed forces half way around the world to fight an unjustified war under false pretenses, and make a mockery of environmental protection. [:@]

DO YOU CARE ABOUT THE ENVIRONMENT?

You're not falling into a trap.

Repeat after me
"Offer logical arguments"
"Provide credible sources"
"Have a brain"

You can do it...I have faith in you.

Mr. Ex President Clinton:

I recently saw a bumper sticker that said, "Thank me, I voted for Clinton-Gore." So, I sat down and reflected on that, and I am sending my "Thank you" for what you have done, specifically:

1. Thank you for introducing us to Jennifer Flowers, Paula Jones,
Monica Lewinsky, Dolly Kyle Browning, Kathleen Willey, and Juanita Broderick.
Did I leave anyone out?

2. Thank you for teaching my 8 year old about oral sex. I had really planned to wait until they were older to discuss it with them, but now they know more about it than I did as a senior in college.

3. Thank you for showing us that sexual harassment in the work place (especially the White House) and on the job is OK, and all you have to know is what the meaning of "is" is. It really is great to know that certain sexual acts are not sex, and one person may have sex while the other one involved does NOT have sex.

4. Thank you for reintroducing the concept of impeachment to a new generation and demonstrating that the ridiculous plot of the movie, "Wag the Dog" could be plausible after all.

5. Thanks for making Jimmy Carter look competent, Gerald Ford look graceful, Richard Nixon look honest, Lyndon Johnson look truthful, and John Kennedy look moral.

6. Thank you for the 73 House and Senate witnesses who have pled the 5th Amendment and 17 witnesses who have fled the country to avoid testifying about Democratic campaign fund raising.

7. Thank you, for the 19 charges, 8 convictions, and 4 imprisonments from the Whitewater "mess" and the 55 criminal charges and 32 criminal con-victions (so far) in the other "Clinton" scandals.

8. Thanks also for reducing our military by half, "gutting" much of our foreign policy, and flying all over the world on "vacations" carefully disguised as necessary trips.

9. Thank you, also, for "finding" millions of dollars--- I really didn't need it in the first place, and I can't think of a more well deserving group of recipients for my hard-earned dollars than jet fuel for all of your globe-trotting. I understand you, the family and your cronies have logged in more time aboard Air Force One than any other administration.

10. Now that you've left the White House, thanks for the 140 pardons of convicted felons and indicted felons-in-exile. We will love to have them rejoin society.

11. Thanks also for removing the White House silverware. I'm sure that Laura Bush didn't like the pattern anyway. Also, enjoy the housewarming gifts you've received from your "friends."

12. Thanks to you and your staff in the West Wing of the White House for vandalizing and destroying government property on the way out. I also appreciate removing all of that excess weight (China, silverware, linen, towels, ash trays, soap, pens, magnetic compass, flight manuals, etc.) out of Air Force 1. The weight savings means burning less fuel, thus less tax dollars spent on jet fuel. Thank you!

13. And finally, please ensure that Hillary enjoys the $8 million dollar advance for her upcoming "tell-all" book and you, Bill, the $10 million advance for your memoirs. Who says crime doesn't pay!

14. The last and most important point - thank you for forcing Israel to let Mohammed Atta go free. Terrorist pilot Mohammed Atta blew up a bus in Israel in 1986. The Israelis captured, tried and imprisoned him. As part of the Oslo agreement with the Palestinians in 1993, Israel had to agree to release so-called "political prisoners". However, the Israelis would not release any with blood on their hands. The American President at the time, Bill Clinton, and his Secretary of State, Warren Christopher, "insisted" that all prisoners be released. Thus Mohammed Atta was freed and eventually thanked the US by flying an airplane into Tower One of the World Trade Center. This was reported by many of the American TV networks at the time that the terrorists were first identified. It was censored in the US from all later reports. Why shouldn't Americans know the real truth?

What a guy!! Man I wish he was our president now instead of Bush. The country was so good being led by a great person, then Bush came along and made it worse.........Naaaa
If I were a democrat I would think that any democrat would be a better pres. than Bush. That's the biggest problem with most liberals I meet today. No Bush is not the very best person to be president, but yes he is the very best person from what candidates are offered.

This is probably one of the biggest fallacies (propaganda) that those opposed to President Bush continue to say even in spite of the stock market's ACTUAL history. Let me elaborate.

I used to work for Lucent Technologies from February 2000 through November of 2001. Well before the election of President Bush, Lucent's stock started to slide about the spring of 2000 and kept continuing since. Lucent's stock was about $86.00 per share when I started working there, and was about $16.00 per share when I was laid off. A huge decline reflective of the coming market conditions. (Lucent began some of their many lay offs while Clinton was still in office.)

Lucent's stock starting it's rapid, steady decent was indicative of the technology sector as a whole. Many companies in this sector started to decline also. (This is important as the technology sector is one of the most volatile sectors of the economy, and what it does generally precedes what the economy as a whole will eventually do). A buddy of mine who works for Oracle said his company's stock started sliding at the same time as Lucent's: which was well before President Bush taking office. The technology sector started to decline first (Pre-Bush), then the rest of the economy soon followed.

The fact is, President Bush inherited an economy that had already begun it's eventual decline. But don't take my word for it. If one is truly sincere in the facts, check out the written history of the stock market for that time period and you will see the start of the economic decline well before President Bush even took office. The history is there in black and white for all to see for themselves.
