Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Demo double talk

Out of curiosity, I have been following the Demo. delima, and in doing so I
have found a correlation that bothers me. Every demo. states they want to
provide all Americans with health care. In their view, that means provide
for those who dont have it. Not for everyone. To fund this, they plan on
cutting Bushes tax cuts, on top of that, they plane on imposing new taxes
(Or as I see it, that would be the only way to provide for those who dont
have med. insurance). In other words, they plan on taxing the middle and
upper classes to provide for those who dont have insurance. As a middle
class person, I dont like that Idea. Looks great to the masses, but when
you break it down, it means you and I will be paying for our insurance, as well
as paying for the ones who dont.[:@] I dont mind living in a lop-sided
socialism[:@] as long as the money goes to the needy. I have problems with all
the dead beats we already have raping the system.

Again, the demos are saying one thing, miss leading the masses, doing
something else covertly. Same can be said for gun control. They all (for
the most part) dodge the gun control question, waiting until they are in
office, then bringing it up.

Just some ramblings on my part, how do you all see it.

They do exactly the same thing every election year with other issues. Just watch....as soon as they have a candidate to put up against Bush, they'll start in on trying to scare the old folks with the "Bush is going to do away with your Social Security" scare tactic. That along with health care will be their two main domestic scare issues. Same old same old.

I was reading this in the Federalist and just had to post it given this topic's heading.

Quote:
"Democrats are so delirious about finding a general who is a pacifist scaredy-cat that no one seems to have bothered to investigate whether Wesley Clark is sane. ... Clark recently said that the 'two greatest lies that have been told in the last three years' are: 'You couldn't have prevented 9-11 and there's another one that's bound to happen.' If he were president, Clark says, there would be no more terrorist attacks. ... Democrats...are so happy to have a pacifist in uniform, they ignore his Norman Bates moments. ... Under Clark's command, the U.S. bombed the Chinese Embassy by mistake, killing three Chinese journalists. Other NATO air strikes under Clark mistakenly damaged the Swiss, Spanish, Swedish, Norwegian and Hungarian ambassadors' residences. Despite the absence of ground troops, Yugoslavia took three American POWs, whose release was eventually brokered by Jesse Jackson. America was standing tall. ... Clark's forces bombed a civilian convoy by mistake, killing more than 70 ethnic Albanians, and then Clark openly lied about it to the press. First he denied NATO had done it, and when forced to retract that, Clark pinned the blame on an innocent U.S. pilot. ... Eventually, even a model of probity like Bill Clinton was shocked by Clark's mendacity and fired him. ... At the end of major combat operations led by NATO Supreme Allied Commander Gen. Wesley Clark, arch-villain Slobodan Milosevic was still in power. ... Today, almost a decade and $15 billion later, U.S. troops are still bogged down in the Balkans. No quagmire there! ... That's the Democrats' idea of a general." --Ann Coulter

Cal
Funny you posted that, Clark was the guy who really stuck out. He keeps promising the moon, but refuses to tell how he expects to do these things.

Well I guess thats not completely true. He has given far fetched ideas as to how he plans on funding things.

I just don't think the Dummycrats get it. Taxes are YOUR money paid to the gov't. Taxes are not gov't money to begin with. So, lets see, rescind the Bush tax cuts and RAISE taxes on top of that. Then we can all pay for everything for the lazy, non-workers. Geez, where do I sign up? I say cut taxes more. Cut gov't spending more. Leave me (and my hard earned money) ALONE!!!
