Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Are we the weakest "animal"

So I was talking with a buddy of mine last night...about hunting, what else. And we started talking about the strenghs of each animal. turkeys have excellent vision. Deer have excellent smell senses. Dogs have excellent hearing.Heck, even worms dig better than we do.

So I guess I would like your thoughts on the way we rank in the animal kingdom ( yes we are animals) without our gagets: guns, tractors, scent eliminators etc.

Because of our strong minds, we have become weak. Take away our technology, we don't have much. Most of us probably couldn't survive.

Wholeheartedly agree.

I kick myself in the ass everytime I think of what I really should have done -- trades, instead of college.

We survived before technology. We survived through technology Some would die without technology but in the end we would survive our strength is our brain yes. And the ability to adatpt to whatever we are up against. We are however loosing big time to the insects as there are more species now than at any other time on earth.[:@]

I think our brain is what makes us the 'strongest' animal in the kingdom.

Our brains are our strongest assets. We have the ability to reason, adapt, use available resources to our advantage. There are some other animals that use tools, but not many.
I'd like to think that even without the technology we have today, we could still survive and thrive at the top of the food chain. At least after all the pastey-faced nancy-boys died off!

Well said hntngirl.

I think all of us here would survive with out all of our technology. Physically we are certainly not the strongest species on earth but our brains being what they are make at least half of us humans the strongest overall animal on earth.

Yep, right on FNG...physically, we are not that great...animals have thicker skin, better eyes, hearing, smell, faster, thick claws, sharp teeth...all that jazz, but mentally we are superior to everything else...

I do to BB, we survived previous centuries without this techonology...just like we could in future centuries if it was taken away...

We are the dominant species, which proves to me that in fact, we are superior to every other animal on earth. And yes, it's because of our brains...that's why we're on top of the food chain.... And the eatin's good!
