Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default 3.7 billion more

Bush wants to give 3.7 billion to religious groups, he said in these times and the future America needs to have faith.

Give me 3.7 billion and I'll open a church []

The numbers are 1.5 Billion and it's supposedly to further the cause of Marriage.

Although sounds good, i'm against all federal expenditures on any social projects, whether it be head start, welfare, housing or this crap.

it's a good way to destroy a country through socialism.

Ahhhhh that compassionate conservatism. I love it.

Besides, what's a few billion dollars when we start putting thousands of divorce lawyers out of business??

And how pray tell is this going to effect divorce? It will probably INCREASE IT.

The function is to get single mothers to shack up with their loser ex-boyfriends that knocked them up. If they had no inclination of getting married then, they sure as hell don't stand a chance after being "convinced " it's the right thing to do.

total b.s.

But to be perfectly honest I've always felt very bad for single mothers.

Many were children of a single parent and I believe are trying to replace their father's with a scumbag boyfriend.

solution? Stop being so damn harsh on Religion -- the ultimate in marriage binders.

FNG, as far as Headstart, its not just for kids of single mothers. My wife works at a Headstart, and many of those children in the program are from married couples who both have working incomes. Those kids are enrolled and paid by the families.

Its not just a daycare/babysitting service, the children do learn a few things.......about learning and getting along with others as well. Besides, our future is in our children's hands. I would much rather my tax money go for this, than a program to tell couples the benifits of being married. Hell, I can tell couples of the benifits AND the non-benifits!
