In a speech Tuesday, Ted said that the war in Iraq was for political purposes only and to get Bush and others re-elected.

You know what is so obviously flawed with his logic?
If Bush knew Saddam didn't have WMD (i.e. he lied), how could his going into Iraq lead to reelection when it would only reveal that he lied? I don't remember Kennedy, or any other democrat for that matter, saying Saddam didn't have WMD before we went in!
...and if we didn't go in and Iraq eventually supplied terrorists with WMD that was used here on US soil, he would have cried that we knew he was up to no good, Clinton laid the plan for going in and taking care of Saddam but Bush did nothing to defend the American people!

The funny part about this accurate statement is they (Kennedy, Daschle, etc.) still think this kind of stuff works to their advantage. The just haven't figured out yet it actually costs them votes these days. Let 'em rip!
