Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Question for 1eyedfish

I saw that video you mentioned in another thread that Peter Jennings showed and had problems with. Can you tell me who we were shooting and what the circumstances were? I didn't see the prelude to the video when I saw it, I had just switched from another channel so don't know if it was in Iraq, Afghanistan, elephant poachers or what.

By the way, I'd love to see that again if you know of a site where I can download it. It was awesome!

Thanks!

It was a short vedio, but had a lot of peters ussall snide snotty remarks.

Dont know where you coudl see it again at... but it was in iraq , a cargo truck& a suv & the drivers of those 2 trucks where out in the dark on the road with what loked like a rpg, or missle they hid by the side of the road.. The crew doing the shooting asked someone 2x was it ok to fire, that it looked like a good target etc.

That gun site didnt move around much at all- right on target.

Thanks. I loved the video showing us cut down those murderous thugs, and feel exactly as you do regarding Peter's remarks. I've come to expect the double standard from him.

That they shot the guy wounded ,crawling away again & his suv probly upset some pp. Maybe peter would have used rubber bullets.

Saw a thing on the army medical care , where they treat iraqis righ along with our troops enemys( the ambushers) or otherwise.

I think that sucks esp if its a knowen enemy - triage& care of americans should always come first.

Charlie,

That's what I'd like to find out. It was shown on TV networks this past weekend, but I don't know of any websites yet that carry it. I do know there are military websites out there somewhere and they might have it. I will post a link if I find one.

A link? I have none, sorry Charlie.

But i did find a 50.bmg cal case, a fired bullet& a steel belt link for the 50. cal michine gun out in the mtns where they use to practice during ww2( maybe somewhere near where chuck yager bailed out once?

Glad they dont shot those things when im hunting out there[:-]

Just think if our enemys had had the 50,s instead of us....

I only saw the clip once, and believe I missed the beginning of it, but it seemed to me that the thugs were going about their business without realizing the helicopter was hovering nearby? Did you get that impression, or did they ditch the RPG or whatever and scurry around BECAUSE of its presence?
