Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Is homosexuality a choice ?

VC asked the question "is heterosexuality a choice" ?

I say no, we all are born heterosexual. Anything beyond that is a choice.

Agree or not ?

The fact is homosexuality does occur in the animal kingdom. Am I saying that People are born gay? No, but I am not discounting it either. Its real easy to pass judgement on people, when in truth we really dont know for sure.

Maybe with some it is a choice, and others are born that way. If you have not been gay, its hard to give an unbias, factual answer.

I am pretty sure monkeys are not interested in shoes, making a social statement, or in being on the show ***** eye for a straight guy.

I know you and I have been discussing this on other threads, so I will just summarize my feelings on this post.

I do not know the answer, but I believe it is possible that homosexuality is a state of mind that people find themselves having without actually choosing it. Performing a homosexual act is a choice (unless raped), but the act, and the state of mind may be separate things. So, someone may feel gay in their heart, but choose to live a hetero lifestyle, or they can give in to the gay feelings, and choose to live, in my opinion, in sin.

Gobbler - Can you please point me to the web pages that show a group of homosexual aniamls ? I guess dogs are committing "beatiality" when they hump our legs too ?

No, aniamls are animals and not the same thing. Worms or uni-sexual (not the right term) and can reproduce on there own ... how does that pertain to humans ? It doesn't !!

Good point, but what about those who have walked down both sides of the street, sometimes twice ? (like Anne Heche)

etothepii - How do you explain the switching back and forth between like heche ?

I agree with etothepii (I'm still trying to figure out the meaning to the username! )

Anyway, I remember when I was stationed in Boston, MA in the Coast Guard and hearing about a mysterious "parking lot / rest area" along the way down to Cape Cod. It was some bizarre, disgusting, meeting joint, for fags to pick each other up for the weekend. [X(]

The Mass State Police caught wind of it and did some "sting operation" one time. They busted everyone in sight, and even published names in the newspaper!!! [:'(] Don't quote me, but if I remember right, I read about:

Joe Schmoe, VP of a large banking firm, married, kids in college, etc.... BUSTED for lewd and lascivious behavior or something or other with another man! [X(]

Rev. Sinner, minister of a large methodist church, married, kids, etc.... BUSTED for lewd and lascivious behavior or something or other with another man! [X(]

The rest of the people were young college kids and typical homosexual men. They all were busted and named in the paper!

So, I believe that to desire to "get funky" with your own sex, is a choice and a total sin against all theological beliefs. Either way you look at it, it is morally, spiritually, and most importantly, BIOLOGICALLY, WRONG!!! [:@][>:][:'(][X(]

My father in law believes everyone is born heterosexual, but what they are exposed to as children could sway their choices in life.

I mean, look what a melting pot we got here, what I consider "normal" might not be for VC, and the difference is ? Our lives and how they have been directed and molded by infinite possibilities.

Chidren nowadays are shown that they have to be tollerant of "alternative" lifestyles. AS this pipes down and those children become the next generation of 20-25 year olds .... do you think the "normal" lines of thinking will stay the same or shift towards "homosexuality is normal" ??

Ding Ding!! exactly right.

God created Adam and Eve. He did not create Adam, Eve, and Jack( for Adam to play with). Everyone IS born heterosexual. It's that simple. A child is totally innocent when born and his natural instincts are heterosexuality. As he gets older and introduced to homosexuality is when it begins. And the way he was raised or whatever transpired during his venture as a child leads him to "CHOOSE" which way he wants to go.
