I would like to announce the birth of my new "Baby"
After well over nine months in the works, I would like to announce the forth coming arrival of my "Baby". Before I announce what my "babies" name is...I would like to acknowledge a few of the members of this board for their effort towards the conception.
I will do this alphabeticaly according to screen names. Each of the following people gave their time, effort and expertise towards making this happen, and I owe each of them a debt of gratitude.
Coastie...or "Jim" Thank you for taking your time and effort to make sure that this thing was technically correct.
Logs...or "Bob" Thank you for pitting my writing against your vast "Real" outdoor navigation experience.
vc1111...or "Vince" Thank you for helping me "Keep it real" and not get sidetracked with overcomplicating it...It was the "much to complicated" factor in what was already out there that made me start this endeavor.
Ladies and Gentlemen..........I have written a book.
It is entitled "Don't Get Lost"
It encompasses everything that a novice would ever want to know about navigating in the woods with a GPS, Compass and map, A compass and a map, just a map, or "Oh-Crap" I'm lost with no means of navigation.
After countless editings and modifications this baby is AT the printer being made into a 'sure-enough' book.
Hopefully, you will see it through the on-line version of Barnes and Noble and Amazon . com on March 1'st. It will also be sold through several other online sources...OR,,,of course it can be bought from the source...OffTrail Books.
