Default Tally for us all - how much $ did we collectively spend......

...this past season?

I'm curious to know this because of so many studies out there about how much hunters spend. If you don't mind, let's tally all of our spending up to get a really good idea and form our own statistic to see how much we really support the economy. Include all spending for all hunting this season whether is was deer, turkey or birds. Best guess is good enough.

Me: this year was a cheap year for me: $1,000 total season

(Try to tally all into it - gas, lodging, arrows, processing, sausage, new bow, phone calls, outfitter costs, etc.....)

If I add it all up, and I'm just guessing, I probably spent around $3000. I bought a new bow, a laser rangefinder, a dozen arrows, paid the camping fee for the season, bought an muzzleloader, bought ammo, and made countless trips into my Ohio hunting turf which is a nice comfortable 90 minute trip, so the gas adds up fast...plus I hit a deer with the Blazer...that was about $2000...

I think I'll stop now...

guess this is where everyone gets to see how cheap I am.grand total for the year...................$66.00

and that is the price of one bear and one deer tag.

can't even count gas money since I just hunted after work which is on the way home.

Wish I could hunt as inexpensively as you bearmaster.

All in all I probably spent a total of $3000 to $4000 through out the year getting ready and picking up this and that.

I didn't get to hunt too much this year. Maybe $1,000 to $2,000.

I figure about $550 for the year(including a new muzzle loader). That gave me 8 ducks and a polt turkey. Not very economic is it? It should have included 2 deer but because of infection in one[X(] and the Yotes beeting me to the other one[:@] I got no venison this year.

Hmmm, between a number of fishing trips and hunting , I would estimate about $1000, which when you tally everything in, including gas for vehicles, food when you're away form home and such...probably isn't too bad. I'm a cheap date, LOL !!!
