RE: LAWsuits cause company to discriminate against F Explorer owners
It was a shame Ford was able to convince the courts that Firestone was completely to blame.
Ford recommended tire pressure to be set at 26 psi. at this pressure almost all tires would be considered low for highway speeds.
Both companies should have had to eat the costs of lawsuits.
It is good business to not associate with products that are liabilities.
#1 Ford Explorers are rollover prone when they have PROPERLY inflated tires. ( this is with all brands of tires)
#2 While this has been determined a Firestone defect, other makes and models that had similar tires installed on them didn't have blowout or rollover results.
#3 What would you do given the situation?
