Why do people High Fence there property?

This is the last thread I am starting on this topic. I think everyone has voiced there opinion on the matter till they are blue in the face. BUT, I wanted to see what everyone thought why landowners high fenced there property for hunting purposes? Let's here it. I've seen a few people on here who help maintain and also run high fence operations so I was wondering why they do it? I have my own opinion on why they do it and why 99% of high fenced ranches here in Texas do it which I 100% agree with. More on that later.

agreed, it's about money. Gotta keep them big one's inside those fences and the "bad" ones out.

NYB, have you ever been to a high fence property? Not a joke like Stealthys imaginary 11 acre fantasyland, but a high fence that encompassed.....lets say anything over 50 acres?

I agree. It is all about money and/or greed. I have thought about it in the stand on more than once. Just what would happen if this 700 acres was fenced? I still wounder. By the way in my case it would be greed.[>:]

Here is a thought.....why do you go to work? To make friends?

Why do farmers raise cattle?

Why do mechanics work on cars?

For a paycheck!

Why is it that someone raises animals to be hunted/shot/murdered/whatever you choose to call it....they are greedy?

I think there should be a law that mandates auto mechanics must catch you on the interstate in order to work on your car. That would be fair chase.

Unless the mechanic is driving a ford, in which case he probably will never catch anyone.

MOST> high fence game areas are (greedy) or at least money oriented.
If not their guides would go out with the hunter in open range to hunt.
