well the ugly face of racism has reared its head again i was sent this wonderful email a bit ago and figured i would share it
Many of you who know me personally know that at times I can be very out spoken. I have seen something's lately that have really disturbed me. Everything we see or do today is supposed to be politically correct or culturally sensitive. I have a problem when you have two or three different races Santa's working the same shift at a mall or department store. How can a child understand something when you have several different people telling it no Santa is white; is not he's black(oh yeah and he is dressed in traditional African attire) then one saying no your both wrong he's Chinese. For crying out loud they're children let them believe what ever in the hell they want to they don't need us confusing them anymore than we already have. I'm sorry folks but everything has become to combined something's DO NOT NEED TO BE SEGREGATED!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's not just Santa's it's Jesus Christ I understand we were made into his own image; but there is no need to bring race and color into everything we read or do. Congress took prayer out of schools because we were trying not to offend anyone well guess what people this country was founded under God!!!!!!!!!! If it wasn't for our forefathers trusting God and believing that he could deliver them into a better place WE WOULDN'T BE HERE!!!!!!!!!! It is time for us as an American public to WAKEUP!!!!!!!!! We don't need to be so sensitive to everyone else's needs what we do need to do is start paying attention to what is going on here at homead again i was sent this in a email :
just in case any of you are wondering I sent that email to deadshot. It really bothers me that this kind of stuff is happening and none say a word. Are we that scaried of our on people? What's the problem people it's time to realize something has to be done. No I am not a anti-goverment freak or anything like that but this is the kind of crap my father faught in WWII for and many more verterans died for GIVE ME A BREAK!!!!!!!!!!! Stuff like this has nothing to do with the constitution. At this rate where are going to be in another 20 years come on folks time to do something about this this is becoming an epidemic!!!!!!!!!!![:@][:@][:@]

Deadshot, Santa is a charactor created by White people in Europe based on a charactor, St Nick. They created him as White, therefore he is White, plain and simple. All the other stuff is PC. Calling it like it is, is not racism. If so please explain how it is to me.
What color is Little Red Ridding Hood, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Shaft, Blade, Peter Peter the Pumpkin Eater, Peter Pan or Uncle Tom . All factitious charactors created by author of stories and books.

Charlie, a well tanned white man could pass for Santa or for Jesus Christ. Of course Christ was from is what is known now as the middle east, but that does not mean he looked like a long haired derivitive of Saddam Hussein. Christ was not just the savior and King of the Jews, he was the saviour of and for all races.
As far as Santa, let each child imagine what they want Santa to look like. And as far as 3 different races of Santas working the same shift at a mall, but in different stores? I suppose its up to each individual store to hire their own Santas. I doubt if the stores all got together and decided to each hire a different race of Santa, but its possible. It would also be wrong for a store to hire a Santa based on race too! JMO.
logs i dont disagree with you on that , but i only posted this for another member but if we all think back to when we where growing up santa WAS white and now we have 3,4 even 5 different santa's to chose from in any mall across the country i agree with youngbuck stop all the crap that adults like to get into over petty things like santa,, his personna is for OUR children not mom and dad let them see things in there own eyes not what we as the parents want them to see, well my 2cents worth
I see no problem with Santa being white, black, brown, etc.
And odds are, if a kid is old enough to notice that there are 3 Santas working in the mall, he also knows that there is no way any of them can be the "real" Santa. That's why most parents end up explaining to their kids the concept of Santa being extremely busy at the North Pole during this time of year and having his helpers go out to the malls and find out what everybody wants for Christmas. Easily explained, easily accepted. No problem!
