I agree., I cant stand lazy fat people who cry about being over weight
while choking down twinkles and watching the T.V.. I do know some people
cant help it, like people with hyperthyroid ect.. But I have come across
thousands of people who say they diet and exercise but cant lose the weight.
But low and behold, when you research their living habits you find out their
attempts are futile at best. I use to work as a Corp. industrial fitness
trainer while working on my masters. I heard the spill, "I work out everyday,
eat right, and cant lose the weight". And then I would do my assessment on
them, and find out the most exercise they get is opening a bag of chips.[:@]
Their diet attempts were not eating the whole box of oreos in one setting
but waiting to finish them off later on that day. In many cases the obis
person wanted a quick cure. They were gung ho for about a week and then
quit. They all wanted a simple cure, one that doesn"™t hurt, take any effort,
or make them uncomfortable. They wanted a pill to do it. This is the reason
I left that job. I caught my self getting upset to much. I made pretty good
money, but got real sick of being the only one who cared. Im sympathetic with someones pliet, but when it is only crying with no self help, I get a little peturbed.

Very true. As a nation, we consume hundreds more pounds of carbohydrates
than we need. That is not as a nation but per person, per year.
Now with that said, I cant speak for everyone. Like Sswpriz stated, his step
daughter needed out side help. I dont know his step daughter story,
physiology, habits, build, or metabolism. I have had to work with people
whose doctors sent them to use to work with along with hormone therapy or
the likes to save some one from hypertension and the likes due to obesity.
Clinical obesity is few and far between, but does happen, so it wouldn"™t be
fare to group every one who is heavy in with the lazy fat slob group.
I do feel society has unrealistic goals for fitness. The human body is not
ment to be a waif thin girl or a muscle bound monster, but I have read, and
noticed an alarming trend; Americans are getting fatter. I just read in
Jama where 3 out of ever 4 American adults are considered over weight and
1 out of every four are obis. Why is that? Id say a lot of it has to do with
technology. We dont have to do any physical activity all day if we choose not
to.
My wife is always telling me, "make me work out" I tell her, "I cant do that, that is something you have to make your self do." Staying in shape is a discipline. Like I tell her, "If staying in shape was easy, everone would be".
