Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Thank our Armed Forces and Commander-in-Chief

For all the tremendous skilled, hard work and sacrifice of all our men and women of the Armed Forces and force of our allies and for the leadership of our President and Command-in-Chief and his people, I personally want to say thank you for what you have done and will continue to do to make our people and the people of the free world a safer, more secure place.

Capturing the ex-dictator Hussein isn't the end of this struggle against terrorists, but it is one giant leap ahead in that struggle for mankind.

Again, thank you!

Dittos Minnfinn. Although I know the troops on the ground are doing the hard work, I can't help but be grateful for President Bush as our Commander in Chief. Instead of just giving in to all the critics, he's stood up for our mission, our troops and our allies. I am so glad that none of the demos are running the show right now cause they would have folded and ran or what if'd themselves to death and made another laughing stock out of our country. God bless the USA!!!

Our military has made a statement.....We not only have the power to come into any punk dictator's country that is affiliated with terrorists or assisting in terroristic events, we have the willingness to do so as well.

Further, you may be living in a palace today, you could be living in a dirt hole tomorrow.....

And remember what Lieberman said . . . "if Dean had had his way, Saddam Hussein would still be in power instead of in prison."

Having served in the Armed Forces during a different era and experiencing a lack of support (for the most part) from people you want to count on back home, it makes me that much prouder of our current members who are doing such a tremendous job and sacrificing for us. I live fairly close to Ft. Hood and our little town frequently sees convoys stop at a cafe or convenience store on the way to San Antonio. Every opportunity I get I will walk up to a table full of soldiers and thank them for their service. It doesn't matter if they just returned from battle or about to leave....I want them to feel good about serving their country. I can tell by their reaction that they really appreciate the comments, even if they do act very humble.

I have "adopted" service members in the past and sent care packages and other things. The DOD provides lots of opprtunities to show your gratitude....many you can access from http://www.defendamerica.mil/support_troops.html

Another way to send a personal show of support is at http://www.defendamerica.mil/nmam.html

What better time of the year to show some fine Americans some care and love and appreciation? They are fantastic!
