I say yes. The Iraqi people suffered and they should be the ones to try saddam instead of some international tribunal. I especially like the idea that they consider the death penalty appropriate. What do you guys think?

Absolutely. It's the only right way. The things he did to his own people were unbelievable and they need to be able to make him answer for that. And pay the price.
We would be pretty ticked off if we were in their shoes and some other country decided they had dibs instead of us!

Tthe death penlity sounds good.
What if they let him go? I guess we cant try/ with a trial& hang him?
How come we havent( our federal goverment etc ) hasnt hung any spys or traitors in a long time?
It would seem the only logical thing to do from my stand point. I also think that the US should hold him untill after the trial for everyones benifit. We have the best chance of keeping him alive that long and not letting hime excape.
does anyone know if Iraq has an actual legal system, like a judge and jury system? My first guess would be know, but I haven't heard anyone bring this up in the media yet.

Iraq does have a judicial system, both for criminal and civil matters. They have judges and lawyers. I'm not sure about juries. I think their system needs some work, though, and I know I've heard that is something they will be working on.

From what I understand it'll be a war tribunal. I think the best thing that can happen is him being judged by the people he abused, tortured and murdered.
Absolutely. We have no business trying him. If, by chance, they let him go... then we send a couple of CIA agents and let them quietly do what they can do.

I would prefer he be brought to the US and tried by Judge Judy. It would be on daytime TV in the USA....what better justice could we possibly afford this poor, deposed leader?
OK...I'm sorry.
This is a good question and I think our leader addressed it perfectly today at his news conference. The Iraqi people should perform the justice and benefit from the outcome. What better signal to the terrorist thugs around the world? What better satisfaction for a nation ruled for decades by a murdering tyrant?
