Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Sadam is caught?

Fox has reported that a pretty credable source says the 4th division has caught Sadam. Not yet confirmed but they seem pretty sure. He was caught in his own old hometown. If true Thats great news.

I think the most significant comment by Lt. Gen. Sanchez at the press conference was "God bless America".

I can see the headlines now:

Washington Times:

Saddam Hussein Captured!

Washington Post and New York Times:

Hussein Captured, But Where is Osama Bin Laden?
Administration Puzzled as to Whereabouts of Al Qaeda Leader

This is a good thing.

The Iraqi people are celebrating and a heavy load of fear and doubt has been pushed aside. Freedom will have a chance to blossom now that the poison has been removed from the air and they no longer live in his shadow.

He's alive and maybe we'll get some useful information from him on a variety of subjects from WMD to the remains of his regime.

This is good for the Troops in the long run but there maybe some escalating violence in the near future as a reaction to his capture by his few supporters.

His trial may work as a uniting venture for the newly forming government in Iraq.

This also shows the doubting Thomas' that resolve pays off and we will have more support in the continuing War on Terrorism.

And this can not hurt Bush in the uncoming election.

PS, I heard the news on the way out for the last day I could hunt with my muzzleloader for Deer. I was planning to spend the entire morning in the field but I wanted to get home and listen to Bush so I left the woods early. So it's a good thing for some Deer.

I like all the celebration in the streets of Iraq. It is hard for the liberals to say the Iraqis don't want us there when you see how jubilant they are that we captured Saddam. How will the libbies spin this one? I honestly believe many democrats are saddened that we captured him, because they value power more than national interests.
