Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Stealthycat ... Zelazny ... Stealthycat ... Zelazny ...

Seems I'm seeing backlash from my, uh, "resignation" from Hunting.net a year or so back. Funny thing, I was talking to my wife after Stealthycat had made his last post, and was telling her that when you're down, people will come out of the woodwork to give you that extra kick in the side.

Its no different now, except its EXPECTED. VC warned me then about being young, hard headed and bold to make something happen. He was right, I was wrong - chalk that up to another learning experience.

Damn Johnny - we should have kept this to ourselves ! Not that VC wouldn't have figured it out. He'd have started an airline, magic "cylce" thread and I couldn't have resisted or something like that. Stem cells gets me too

No point to this thread really, just 3:19 am, stuck at work and releasing my mind a bit.

So what are you saying, you've changed so you changed your handle?

Come on, your attitude hasn't changed that much.Instead of coming back and changeing your handle, why not just come back and say I'm still against canned hunts, but I missed the board?

It should be expected because in a way you are being dishonest.

You hammer Cardeer about loosing respect because of his posting style and now you feel like your being kicked while down?

Face it you snuck in the back door after leaving under protest. You said you couldn't post on a board that has advertisers that you thought were bad for hunting and then came back using a different name and posted.

You weren't down you were protesting something you thought was wrong and then decided it wasn't worth not posting here. Should have just came back with the old handle took your whacks like a man and went on being Stealthycat. You didn't change your handle on the bowsite with your knew attitude why is that? Why did you just cahnge it here.

To be honest I thought Zel was you before someone posted it was. I said to myself Stealthy has more cajones then to come back using a different handle list his name as Bow Hunter and not list a State or his e-mail address.

I once said if I left I would do so gracefully and without a word. I'm not going to do that. As I am fierce about my beliefs on abortion, so am I with my stance on canned hunting. Below is the 4th rule that we as members have to abide by.

No topics and/or statements which could be used to reflect poorly on hunting, archery or firearms. Anti-hunting and other posts indicating a stance against the hunting, archery and firearm industry will be removed.

The very board we visit violates these rules. Why ? Old Stone Fence hunting preserve (aka Forbare game farm) and White Oak Hunting are sponsers - look them up in the Outfitters section. White oak is 1,000 acres and bosts 1200 animals on that 1,000 acres. Go to their web site and see. Old Stone Fence is a shooting preserve that breeds top notch elk and whitetails ... and you can shoot Bucky for the right price too. I have been arguing on the Big Game Forum about the ethics of hunting and the very board we visit violates it.

http://www.huntingoutfitters.com/oldstonefence/
http://www.fobarehunting.com/ElkBreeding.html
http://www.whiteoakhunting.com/

I could type everything I have already typed to present my argument, but anyone who know hunting can go to these sites and realize it isn't hunting, its just shooting penned animals or at best an animal much like a cow would be. That aint hunting, and the ARA'a key in on it more than anything else. Hunting for heads and horns.

So I suspect this topic won't last long and/or that I will be banned, but it matters not because its what I believe and I WILL NOT support a site that supports canned hunting. Much like I would not support this site if it had pro-abortion sponser. Take a look at these links, do a little searching and send emails to the Hunting BBS at feedback@hunting.net I sent the following email twice with no responses. Thats enough to convince me I am either right or no one cares. Either way, you'll not see "stealthycat" again on this board. Heck, I spend too much time on here anyway.
I guess you left your self an out with the last line stating"stealthycat" wouldn't be back.

So why come back and hide who you were?

Are you saying that your new identity can support a site that supports canned hunts.

Let's try this. Hey Brad why did you decide to come back.

Charlie it is apparent that he is admitting that he was a bit fired up at the time. Most of us, including me, have said things on this board that they would change if they could. The things I've said that I regret were also bundled in fiery belief and values. It is what makes us human and interesting and beautiful.

It is the passion and the plain talk that make this place interesting for me. I hope we don't get to where we impose the guidelines of political correctness to that degree in here...it would create an environment where we'd all be even more afraid to say what we think.

Saying what you really think, and hearing what others really truly think is refreshing (and yes, infuriating, funny, disgusting, enlightening, heart-warming, etc). It is also very rare.

Was Stealthycat wrong? Ok, yea.

So what?

Why not come back as StealthyCat then? Everyone makes mistakes, me included. Believe me I not perfect. If it was me I would have made my first post back, "Charlie P I'm back" taken my shots and settled back in. I wouldn't make up a new handle list my name as Bow Hunter with no e-mail. That to me makes it seem like he's hiding .

Say whatever you want just let the people who your saying it to know who they are talking with, if you've been here before.

I've had some heated debates with FNG and others and regretted some things I said. Stepped up and said I was wrong and went on.

I'm not saying Brad's opinion is wrong either.

Why post for a few monthes and hide the fact that your StealthyCat? What good did it do?

I'm still against canned hunts, but I missed the board

Better ?

Coming back under another name gave me an opportunity to post things I normally wouldn't. Did you read the other day what was said here - that the board is stagnant because everyone " gets along" ? How the hell can anyone debate anything when theres nothing new to say, no new perspective ? I swear I am going to get 6 different user ID's and start some good old fashion debates one of these days .....

As for evrything else you said .... awe, you might eb right, you might be wrong, but regardless of what I type you Charlie P are going to believe what you want to anyway. yeah, in a way I am hiding, I don't want emails and people knowing where I'm at anymore.

Hey, for 1 week, register under a different User name and come here and post against the grain. You'll be amazed at the difference.
