Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Hang the Parole Board

http://www.cnn.com/2003/US/Midwest/1...ies/index.html

Every day you read more and more about this exact thing ... paroled killers killing again. This one article says .......

Quote:
Maust pleaded guilty to murdering a boy in Illinois in 1981, he was sentenced to 35 years in prison, but was paroled in 1999. He was also convicted of assaulting another boy in Texas.

Based on Maust's history of violence, police said they will check in other jurisdictions to see if they have an similar unresolved cases.
That Parole Board evaluated this man and determined he was NOT a threat to society and released him, rehabilitation complete. In other words, they were the direct reason this man was back in society threatening citizens. Its really no different than saying " well, I THOUGHT the gun wasn't loaded ?!!"

Lets change some laws, and say that IF a paroled criminal committs murder, those that paroled him should stand trial as accessories to murder for letting him go in the first place. Its just sickening to see convicted murders killing over and over again.

Maybe there should be offenses where no parole should be offered...such as a murder trial...

Maybe by taking the life of another you forfeit yours and don't get a second chance...ever...whether by getting your own life taken by the death penalty, or by staying in a 6x6 jail cell for the rest of your life...

Zelazny I agree 100% with you.

I would just like to see the parole board dissapear all together for all crimes. If you do the crime, no matter what it is, then you should damn well do the time. If a person don't like to sit in a jail then it's up to that person to keep their but out of it in the first place, not a group of bleeding hearts sissies to let them out of it.

Same for the guy that kidnapped that girl in Grandforks ND. I am sure they won't find her alive. That guy had a wrap sheet a yard long but was back out and another 20 year old college girl is gone. What the hell are they thinking when they turn these animals loose again and again.

"What the hell are they thinking?"
They're not!
They are a bunch of liberal non-thinkers that don't want inmates to be uncomfortable in the over-crowded jails so they set them free and they end up back in jail any way.[>:]

I remember Static making excellent points about criminals and parole. If they're safe to be let go, then afford them every Right they had before incarceration. If they are NOT safe to let go, keep them in jail.

These people are NOT safe to let go .. the proof is on the 6 pm news, every night of the week.
