Default deer VS farm ?

Most people here know about crop damage permits for deer. A lot of people dont like the idea of a farm owner being able to kill deer during the summer for eating there crops. Its becoming a big local isue brought up by the biger hunting clubs. Where do you stand on crop damage permits? and if you dont thank they should be used would you support a % of money from the wild life fund going to farmers to pay for the crops damaged by wild life?to keep the farmers from anting crop damage permits. ould you support a vontlry embercment or the use of crop damge permits soley up to the farmer?

We don't have anything like that in ND. reductions are done by hunters. Our state is divided in zones, if there is a problem area more tags are issued or the season is extended in them areas.

IN WASHINGOT THEY ALLOW CROP DAMAGE PERMITS TO HUNTERS TO HUNT THE DAMAGED AREA, BUT ITS NOT FOR DEER IT FOR ELK, THE ONLY DOWN FALL IS THAT SOME OF THE APPLE FARMERS WANT TO MAKE A LITTLE MONEY BY CHARGING THE HUNTERS TO HUNT IN THE ORCHARDS.

I'm all for Ag tags. In Wisconsin, to get Ag tags and payment for lost crops you have to open your land up for public hunting for two years. The neibors 1400 acres has been open to hunting for the last two years and our deer population is finaly down to a more reasonable number.

Here you do not have to open the land the min. equrment is 5 acers and be for profet planting.. Now where doest the state property of animals end and where do the landowns property right begin? IE having to open property to get cop damage permets o pay for crop damage. you know it ould take a lot of deer damage to equal one shot tractor or open gate that let demistac animals out. so far i have not used cDP but i would not open my land to the puplic to get them if i had to. I will keep the right to say who can and cannot be on my place. And like here the property owner own's wild hogs. and are responcible fo damage they do. IE runing off the property on a road "if road side poperty"
